Abstract

본 발명은 알루미나의 파괴 인성과 강도를 향상시키기 위해서 휘스카를 첨가시켜 침상 구조의 복합 재료를 만들었던 종래 방법과는 달리 희토류 산화물의 일종인 란탄 산화물(La2O3)을 사용하여 소결중에 매트릭스인 알루미나와 첨가제인 란탄 산화물(La2O3)간의 고상 석출반응을 이용하여 침상구조를 갖는 LaAl11O18상을 생성시키고 이 LaAl11O18상을 분산상으로 알루미나 매트릭스에 2차상으로 존재시켜 고강도, 고인성의 복합 재료를 제조하는 방법을 제공한다.

Claims (1)

  1. AI2O3: La2O3의 몰비가 0.1 : 1 내지 14 : 1의 조성이 되도록 하는 혼합 원료 분말을 진공 분위기 중에서 1000℃ 내지 1800℃의 온도 범위와 10분 내지 5시간의 조건하에서 가압 소결시켜서 소결 중에 알루미나와 La2O3와의 고상 석출 반응에 의해서 침상의 입자 형태를 갖는 LaAl11O18상을 석출시키고, 상기 LaAl11O18상이 알루미나 매트릭스 내에 5부피% 내지 30부피% 존재하게 되는 고강도, 고인성 알루미나기 복합 재료의 제조 방법.
