Abstract
본 발명은 양자화된 블럭을 소정 영역으로 분할하여 분할된 영역중 소정영역을 선택적으로 가변 길이 부호화하여 송신하는 영역 분할을 이용한 영상 신호 부호화 장치에 관한 것으로, 2차원 DCT 방식에 의하여 변환된 DCT 계수들을 양자화하는 양자화부와; 서로 다른 가변 길이 부호화 테이블을 각각 구비하며 상기 양자화부에 의하여 양자화된 블럭을 주파수 대역 별로 분할하여 분할된 영역들에 대하여 줄길이 부호화 및 가변 길이 부호화를 행하여 송신하는 복수개의 부호화부를 구비한다.
즉, 본 발명은 양자화된 값의 블럭을 분할하고, 분할된 영역들을 서로 다른 가변 길이 부호화 테이블의 가변 길이 부호를 이용하여 부호화하므로써 송신하여야 하는 송신 데이타의 양을 대폭 감축할 수 있어 부호화 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다는 효과가 있다.

제2도는 본 발명에 따른 영상 신호 부호화 장치의 블럭도, 제3도는 본 발명에 따른 영상 신호 부호화 장치에 사용되는 테이블을 도시한 도면, 제4도는 본 발명에 따른 이용한 영상 신호 부호화 장치에서 블럭의 분할 상태를 도시한 도면.
Claims (1)
- 소정 블럭 단위의 영상 신호를 움직임 보상 DCPM(차분 펄스 부호 변조) 및 2차원 DCT(이산 코사인 변환)방식을 이용하여 압축 전송하는 하이브리드 영상 압축 장치에 있어서, 상기 2차원 DCT 방식에 의하여 변환된 DCT계수들을 양자화 하는 양자화부와; 서로 다른 가변 길이 부호화 테이블을 각각구비하며 상기 양자화부에 의하여 양자화된 블럭을 주파수 대역 별로 분할하여 분할된 영역들에 대하여줄 길이 부호화 및 가변 길이 부호화를 행하여 송신하는 복수개의 부호화부를 구비하는 영상 신호 부호화 장치.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
