Abstract

본 발명에 따르면, 열분해되어 세라믹 입자를 생성할 수 있는 유기금속 중합체와 다이아몬드 또는 입방형 질화붕소와 같은 연마 입자 덩어리를 포함하는 혼합물을 제공하고, 상기 혼합물에 열을 가하여 중합체를 열분해시키고, 열분해된 혼합물을 소결시켜 응집성 연마체를 얻는 단계를 포함하는, 마모 부품, 절삭 공구 삽입물 등으로 사용할 수 있는 연마체의 제조 방법이 제공된다.

Claims (22)

  1. (i) 열분해되어 세라믹 입자들을 생성할 수 있는 유기금속 중합체와 연마 입자 덩어리를 포함하는 혼합물을 제공하는 단계, (ⅱ) 상기 혼합물에 열을 가하여 중합체를 열분해시키는 단계, (ⅲ) 열분해된 혼합물을 소결시켜 응집성 연마체를 얻는 단계를 포함하는 연마체의 제조방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 단계(i)에서 혼합물은 중합체의 유기금속 전구체를 적당한 용매 중에 용해시키고, 연마 입자 덩어리를 이 용액에 첨가하고, 유기금속 전구체를 중합시킴으로써 제공되는 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 단계(i)에서 중합은 100℃ 내지 500℃ 범위의 온도에서 수행되는 방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 단계(i)에서 혼합물은 중합체의 유기금속 전구체를 연마 입자 덩어리와 함께 분쇄시키고, 전구체를 중합시킨 후, 임의로 혼합물을 분쇄함으로써 제공되는 방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 단계(i)에서 혼합은 중합체의 유기금속 전구체를 연마 입자 덩어리와 동시에 혼합 및 중합시키고, 이어서 임의로 혼합물을 분쇄함으로써 제공되는 방법.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 단계(i)에서 혼합물은 중합체를 연마 입자 덩어리와 함께 분쇄시킴으로써 제공되는 방법.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계(i)에서 혼합물 중의 연마 입자의 농도는 최종 응집성 연마제 중의 이들의 농도가 30 부피% 내지 90 부피% 범위가 되도록 하는 농도인 방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 단계(i)에서 혼합물 중의 연마 입자의 농도는 최종 응집성 연마체 중의 이들의 농도가 50 부피% 내지 80 부피% 범위가 되도록 하는 농도인 방법.
  9. 제1항 내지 제8항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계(i)과 단계(ⅱ)사이에, 단계(i)의 혼합물을 압축시켜 단계(ⅱ)를 위한 그린체(green body)를 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
  10. 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계(ⅱ)에서 혼합물을 300℃ 내지 1000℃ 범위의 온도로 가열함으로써 중합체를 중합시키는 방법.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 단계(ⅱ)에서 가열은 다음의 3단계로 수행되는 방법.
    (ⅱ)(a) 온도가 약 300℃가 될때 까지 혼합물을 신속하게 가열하고, 이어서 (ⅱ)(b) 온도가 약 300℃ 내지 약 800℃일때, 혼합물을 서서히 가열하며, 이어서 (ⅱ)(c) 온도가 약 1000℃가 될 때까지 혼합물을 신속하여 가열하는 단계.
  12. 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 단계(ⅱ)에서 혼합물이 중합체의 열분해를 보장하도록 일정 시간 동안 최종 온도에서 유지되는 방법.
  13. 제1항 내지 제12항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계(ⅲ)에서 열분해된 혼합물을 1000℃ 내지 1400의 온도에서 소결되는 방법.
  14. 제1항 내지 제13항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계(ⅲ)에서 소결은 압력하에서 수행되는 방법.
  15. 제1항 내지 제14항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 연마 입자가 다이아몬드 및 입방형 질화붕소 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 방법.
  16. 제1항 내지 제15항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 생성되는 세라믹이 탄화규소, 질화규소, 침탄질화규소, 이산화규소, 질화붕소, 탄화붕소, 질화알루미늄, 탄화텅스텐, 탄화티탄, 질화티탄 및 전이 금속의 탄화물, 질화물 붕소화물로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 방법.
  17. 제1항 내지 제16항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 유기금속 중합체가 중합된 폴리오르가노실라잔인 방법.
  18. 연마 입자가 복합 연마체의 30 부피% 내지 90 부피%를 구성하며, 연마 입자들은 복합 연마체 중에서 연속상을 형성하는 세라믹 매트릭스에 결합되어 있고, 세라믹 매트릭스는 열분해되어 세라믹 입자를 생성할 수 있는 유기금속 중합체와 연마 입자 덩어리를 열분해시킨 후 소결시킴으로써 형성되는 것임을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 매트릭스 중에 분산된 연마 입자 덩어리로 이루어지는 복합 연마체.
  19. 제18항에 있어서, 복합 연마체 중의 연마 입자의 농도가 50 부피% 내지 80 부피%인 복합 연마체.
  20. 제18항 또는 제19항에 있어서, 연마 입자가 다이아몬드 및 입방형 질화붕소 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 복합 연마체.
  21. 제18항 내지 제20항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 세라믹 매트릭스가 탄화규소, 질화규소, 침탄질화규소, 이산화규소, 질화붕소, 탄화붕소, 질화알루미늄, 탄화텅스텐, 탄화티탄, 질화티탄 및 전이 금속의 탄화물, 질화물, 붕소화물로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 복합 연마체.
  22. 제18항 내지 제21항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 유기금속 중합체가 중합된 폴리오르가노실라잔인 복합 연마체.
