Abstract

본 발명은 와이드 스크린(Wide Screen) TV수상기의 화면 크기 변환장치(Aspect Ratio Converter)에 관한 것으로서, 특히 화면 크기 변환을 위한 디지탈 신호처리를 디지탈 콤필터부에서 Y/C(휘도신호, 칼라신호) 분리와 동시에 수행함으로써 영상잡음을 줄일수 있어서 노말모드의 화질이 개선된 화면 크기 변환장치에 관한 것이다.
종래의 화면 크기 변환장치는 디지탈 콤필터에서 1회 디지탈 신호처리하고, 화면 크기 변환기에서 또 한 차례 디지탈신호처리가 되므로 영상잡음이 가중되어 화질이 저하되는 문제점이 있다.
일반적으로 비디오신호의 8비트(Bit) 디지탈신호처리를 1회 수행함에 따라 영상잡음이 3dB 증가하게 되므로 종래와 같은 구성의 화면 크기 변환장치는 아날로그신호처리 TV에 비해 화질이 나빠지게 된다.
따라서, 본 발명은 상기 문제점을 해결하기 위해 화면 크기 변환을 위한 디지탈 신호처리를 디지탈 콤필터부에서 Y/C(휘도신호, 칼라신호) 분리와 동시에 수행함으로써 영상잡음을 줄일 수 있고, 따라서 화면크기가 16:9인 와이드 TV의 노말모드에서의 화질이 개선된 화면크기 변환장치이다.

Claims (3)

  1. 입력되는 혼합비디오신호를 휘도신호와 칼라신호로 분리하여 출력하는 디지탈 콤필터(100)와, 상기 디지탈 콤필터(100)에서 출력되는 휘도신호를 클럭신호 발생기(103)에서 출력되는 제어신호로 가로:세로=4:3의 크기로 축소하여 출력하는 라인 메모리(102)와, 상기 디지탈 콤필터(100)에서 출력되는 칼라신호를 상기 클럭신호 발생기(103)에서 출력되는 제어신호로 가로:세로=4:3의 크기로 축소하여 출력하는 라인 메모리(101)와, 입력되는 수직동기신호와 수평동기신호와 모드선택신호로 화면 크기 변환에 필요한 제어신호를 만들어 출력하는 클럭신호 발생기(103)와, 상기 라인 메모리(101)에서 출력되는 디지탈칼라신호를 상기 클럭신호 발생기(103)의 제어로 아날로그신호로 변환출력하는 D/A변환기(104)와, 상기 라인 메모리(102)에서 출력되는 디지탈 휘도신호를 상기 클럭신호 발생기(103)의 제어로 아날로그신호로 변환출력하는 D/A변환기(105)와, 상기 D/A변환기(104)에서 출력되는 칼라신호를 두 개의 색차신호(R-Y', B-Y')로 색 복조하여 출력하는 색 복조기(106)로 구성된것을 특징으로하는 화면 크기 변환장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디지탈 콤필터(100)는 입력되는 혼합 비디오신호를 디지탈신호로 변환시켜 라인 메모리(111)와 가산기(113)로 출력하는 A/D변환기(110)와, 상기 A/D변환기(110)에서 출력되는 비디오신호를 기억하였다가 라인 메모리(112)와 가산기(115)(117)로 출력하는 라인 메모리(111)와, 상기 라인 메모리(111)에서 출력되는 비디오신호를 기억하였다가 가산기(113)로 출력하는 라인 메모리(112)와, 상기 A/D변환기(110)에서 출력되는 비디오신호와 상기 라인 메모리(112)에서 출력되는 비디오신호를 혼합하는 가산기(113)와, 상기 가산기(113)에서 출력되는 신호에 1/2을 곱하는 곱셈기(114)와, 상기 곱셈기(114)에서 출력되는 신호와 상기 라인 메모리(111)에서 출력되는 신호를 혼합하는 가산기(115)와, 상기 가산기(115)에서 출력되는 비디오신호에 1/2을 곱하는 곱셈기(116)와, 상기 곱셈기(116)에서 출력되는 칼라신호와 상기 라인 메모리(111)에서 출력되는 비디오신호를 혼합하는 가산기(117)로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 화면 크기 변환장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 색 복조기(106)는 제1 발진기(124)에서 일정주파수(3.58㎒)의 복조캐리어 주파수가 출력되도록 입력되는 칼라버스트신호(fsc)로 상기 제1 발진기(124)에서 출력되는 신호의 위상을 제어하는 제1 위상검파기(123)와, 상기 제1 위상검파기(123)의 제어로 동작하여 일정주파수의 복조캐리어 주파수를 출력하는 제1 발진기(124)와, 제2 발진기(126)에서 일정주파수(4.76㎒)의 주파수가 출력되도록 입력되는 칼라버스트 신호로 상기 제2 발진기(126)에서 출력되는 신호의 위상을 제어하는 제2 위상검파기(125)와, 상기 제2위상검파기(125)의 제어로 동작하여 일정주파수의 복조캐리어 주파수를 출력하는 제2 발진기(126)와, 모드선택신호에 따라 스위칭동작하여 상기 제1 발진기(124)와 제2 발진기(126)에서 출력되는 신호를 선택출력하는 스위치(SW1)와, 상기 스위치(SW1)에서 출력되는 신호를 위상차를 두어 R-Y'복조기(120)와 B-Y'복조기(121)로 출력하는 이상기(122)와, 상기 이상기(122)에서 출력되는 신호로 입력되는 칼라신호를 색차신호(R-Y')로 색 복조하여 출력하는 R-Y'복조기(120)와, 상기 이상기(122)에서 출력되는 신호로 입력되는 칼라신호를 색차신호(B-Y')로 색 복조하여 출력하는 B-Y'복조기(121)로 구성된 것을 특징으로하는 화면 크기 변환장치.
