Abstract

본 발명은 하기 일반식(I)의 화합물을 물론 이들 화합물을 함유하는 액정 혼합물, 전기-광학 지시 장치내에서의 이들 화합물 및 각 혼합물의 용도에 관한 것이다. :
상기 식에서, R1은 1내지 12개의 탄소 원자를 가지는 알킬을 나타내며; X1및 X3은 각각 독립적으로 할로겐 또는 수소를 나타내고; 또한 X2는 할로겐 또는 시아노를 나타낸다.

Claims (8)

  1. 하기 일반식 (I)의 화합물 :
    상기 식에서, R1은 1내지 12개의 탄소 원자를 가지는 알킬을 나타내고; X1및 X3은 각각 독립적으로 할로겐 또는 수소를 나타내고; 또한 X2는 할로겐 또는 시아노를 나타낸다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, X1이 불소를 의미하고, X2가 염소, 불소 또는 시아노를 의미하고 또한 X3이 수소 또는 불소를 의미하는 화합물.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 하기 일반식 (I-A), (I-B)및 (I-C)을 갖는 화합물:
    상기 식에서, R11은 1내지 7개의 탄소 원자를 가지는 알킬을 의미하고; 또한 X22는 불소 또는 염소를 의미한다.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, R1이 1내지 3개의 탄소 우너자를 가지는 알킬기를 의미하는 화합물.
  5. 하기 일반식(I-1)의 화합물 :

    상기 식에서, R111은 1내지 3개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 알킬을 의미한다.
  7. 2개 이상의 성분을 함유하고, 이 중 1개 이상의 성분이 제1항에 정의된 일반식(I)의 화합물인 액정 혼합물.
  8. 제1항에 정의된 일반식(I)의 화합물의 전기-광학 장치에서의 용도.
