Abstract

본 발명은 영상 부호화 장치에 관한 것으로, 버퍼 제어의 일방법으로 이용되는 QP 값을 이용하여 QP에 따라 적응적으로 필터를 선택하여 데이타를 부호화(압축)하기 전에 필터링함으로써 복잡한 영상의 경우에도 고화질의 영상을 얻을 수 있다.

Claims (5)

  1. 디지탈 영상 데이타를 기설정된 영상 처리 단위로 분할하는 데이타 분할 수단(102)과, 상기 데이타 분할 수단(102)에서 분할되어 입력되는 데이타 워드를 소정의 처리로 압축 부호화하는 데이타 압축부호화 수단(107)과, 상기 데이타 압축 부호화 수단(177)에서 발생되는 데이타 발생율이 데이타를 전송할 전송채널의 전송율에 맞도록 조절하기 위하여 상기 데이타 압축 부호화 수단(109)의 양자화 스텝 크기를 조절하는 데이타율 제어수단(112)을 포함하여 구성된 영상 부호화 장치에 있어서, 상기 데이타 분할 수단(102)과 상기 데이타 압축 부호화 수단(109)사이에 연결되며 상기 데이타율 제어수단(112)으로부터 제어신호를 입력받아 상기 데이타 분할 수단(102)에서 출력되는 데이타 워드를 적응적으로 필터링하는 필터팅 수단(104), (105)을 특징으로 하는 적응적 영상 부호화 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 필터링 수단은 상기 데이타을 제어수단(112)으로부터의 제어신호에 의하여 필터를 선택하는 필터선택수단(104)을 포함하는 상기 적응적 영상 부호화 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 필터선택수단(104)은 양자와 스텝의 크기를 조절하는 상기 데이타율 제어수단(112)의 데이타율 제어 변수를 이용하여 상기 적응적 영상 부호화 장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 필터링 수단은 다수의 고주파 차단주파수를 가지는 저역통과 필터(105)를 포함하는 상기 적응적 영상 부호화 장치.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 저역통과 필터의 차단 주파수는 데이타율 제어변수를 이용하는 상기 필터 선택수단에 의하여 선택되는 상기 적응적 영상 부호화 장치.
