제1도는 인쇄 회로 기판에 장착가능한 본 발명의 칩 캐리어 소켓 어셈블리를 도시한 사시도,
제2도는 소켓 어셈블리의 하우징 및 덮개를 절단해서 분해하여 도시한 종단면도,
제3도는 제2도의 선 3-3을 따라 절취하여 도시한 부분 종단면도,
제4도는 제3도와 관련하여 덮개가 하우징에 래치된 상태를 도시한 도면.

Claims (7)

  1. 자체로부터 연장된 리드를 갖는 집적 회로 칩의 칩 캐리어 소켓 어셈블리에 있어서, 절연체 하우징(10), 칩 캐리어 주위에 배치하여 위한 절연체 덮개(12), 상기 칩 캐리어를 수용하기 위한 리셉터클 수단(16,18)의 경계를 정하는 최소한 1개의 상기 덮개 및 하우징, 상기 칩 캐리어가 상기 리셉터클 수단 내에 배치될 때에 상기 칩 캐리어의 리드(62)들을 접촉시키기 위한 상기 리셉터클 수단에 인접하여 있는 상기 하우징 상의 다수의 단자(20), 상기 배치된 칩 캐리어 주위의 하우징에 상기 덮개를 고정시키기 위한, 상기 하우징 상의 한 래치 아암(28) 및 상기 덮개 상의 다른 래치 아암(30)으로 이루어진 최소한 한 쌍의 탄력적인 상보 상호 계합 래치 아암(28,30) 및 상기 래치 아암의 쌍이 함께 고정될 때에 상기 하우징 및 덮개의 내부에 배치되어 있는 이들 사이의 캐비티 수단(40)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칩 캐리어 소켓 어셈블리.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 하우징 및 상기 덮개 각각이 유전 물질로 일체로 몰딩되고 상기 래치 아암이 각각 상기 하우징 및 덮개와 함께 몰딩되는 것을 특징으로 하는 칩 캐리어 소켓 어셈블리.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 래치 아암이 그 상부에 상보 상호 계합 후크부(34)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칩 캐리어 소켓 어셈블리.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 하우징 및 상기 덮개에 붙어서 외면에 격설된 래치 아암의 다수의 쌍을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칩 캐리어 소켓 어셈블리.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 하우징 및 상기 덮개가 4개의 각 측면에 정하는 상보적으로 직사각형이고, 이들 측면 각각의 단부 중간에 4개의 상기 래치 아암의 쌍을 포함하는 것을 특징하는 하는 칩 캐리어 소켓 어셈블리.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 캐비티 수단과 통하는 상기 하우징 및 덮개 중 하나내에, 및 래치 아암이 함께 고정될 때에 상기 하우징 및 덮개의 외부에서 잠김 상태가 해제될 수 있는 곳에 액세스 수단(42)를 포함하는 것을 특징하는 하는 칩 캐리어 소켓 어셈블리.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 하우징 상에 래치 아암이 말단부 상에 후크부(32)를 갖는 포스트 부재를 포함하고, 상기 덮개 상의 래치 아암이 상기 포스트 부재 상의 후크부(34)와 상호 계합하기 위해 상기 말단부상의 후크부로 자유 다리(30a)의 경계를 정하는 반전된 U자형 부재를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 칩 캐리어 소켓 어셈블리.
