Claims (9)

  1. 세라믹 폼 휠터에 있어서, 휠터가 실리콘 카아바이드, 알루미나, 콜로이드상 실리카 용액으로부터 만들어진 실리카 그리고 알루미노-실리케이트 섬유를 포함하는 조성으로부터 형성되며 그리고 세라믹 매트릭스 안에서 알루미노-실리케이트 섬유가 대체로 용해되는 그러한 세라믹 매트릭스를 가지는 휠터가 그러한 온도에서 소성되어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 폼 휠터.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 휠터는 20-50중량%의 실리콘 카아바이드, 20-50중량%의 알루미나, 1.5-50중량%의 콜로이드상 실리카용액으로부터 만들어진 실리카 그리고 1-3중량% 알루미노-실리케이트 섬유를 포함하는 고체물질 함량을 가지는 수성의 스러리로부터 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 폼 휠터.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 실리콘 카아바이드는 1내지 80미크론의 입자크기를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 폼 휠터.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 알루미나는 1-40미크론의 입자크기를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 폼 휠터.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 알루미노-실리케이트 섬유는 60미크론 내지 3mm의 길이를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 폼 휠터.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 휠터는 1200℃내지 1300℃의 범위내에 있는 온도에서 소성되어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 폼 휠터.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 휠터는 15mm 또는 그 이하의 두께를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 세라믹 폼 휠터.
  8. 유기폼이 수성세라믹 스러리로 함침되며, 그리고 함침된 폼은 건조되고 그리고 소성되는, 세라믹 폼 휠터를 만드는 방법에 있어서, 수성스러리는 실리콘 카아바이드, 알루미나, 콜로이드상 실리카용액 그리고 알루미노-실리케이트 섬유를 포함하여 그리고 건조된 함침된 폼은 적어도 1150℃의 온도에서 소성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 건조된, 함침된 폼은1200℃ 내지 1300℃의 범위내에 있는 온도에서 소성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
