자동차용 백밀러

본 고안은 백밀러의 일측에 경사진 보조 밀러부를 볼록으로 돌출 형성하여 자동차의 측후방을 보다 넓게 관찰할수 있도록된 자동차용 백밀러에 관한 것이다.
종래에 평면 거울 또는 볼록 거울로 구성되는 밸밀러를 차체에 고정설치하여 주행중에 측후미를 관찰토록하고 있으나 이는 자동차 측면의 먼 후방은 관찰할수 있었어도 양 측면 차선의 직후방은 거울내로 반사되지 않아 자동차의 직후방으로는 관찰할수 없는 사각(死角)지대가 형성됨으로서 차선을 변경할 경우에 이미 직후방에 진입된 차량은 볼수없게 되어 측면 직후방의 차량과 충돌사고가 빈번히 발생되었고 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 운전석에서 원격조정으로 이동되는 백밀러가 안출된바 있으나 이는 구조가 복잡하고 차선 변경시 마다 작동시켜야 하는 번거로운 결점이 있어 전방을 주시 해야할 운전자가 측면 직후방을 직접 돌아보아 관찰하고 있는 실정이었다.
본 고안은 종래의 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 후방을 비쳐볼수 있는 밀러체에 볼록으로 경사진 보조밀러부를 돌출 형성하여 자동차의 후방 직후방에 형성되는 사각 지대까지 관찰할 수 있도록 하기 위한 목적으로 안출된 것이다.
이를 첨부 도면에 따라 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다. 백밀러 갑체(1)의 내부에 지지판(2)을 설치하고 이 지지판(2)에 반사막이 증착된 밀러체(3)를 고정설치함에 있어서 밀러체(3)의 일측에 보조 밀러부(4)를 일체로 형성하되 보조 밀러부(4)가 외향으로 간격(h)만큼 경사진 볼록 경사면(a)으로 돌출 형성하여 반사각을 크게 하므로 자동차(A)의 측면 직후방으로 형성되는 사각 지대(5)(6)가 반사 되도록한 구조이다.
미설명 부호 7은 갑체(1)에 연결구성된 고정판이고, 8,8′,8″,8′″은 차선이다.
이상과 같은 구성의 본 고안은 갑체(1)에 연결구성된 고정판(7)을 자동차(A)의 양측에 체결 고정시키는 것으로 이와 같이 고정된 갑체(1)의 내측으로 설치된 밀러체(3)에 외향으로 볼록 경사면(a)을 갖는 보조밀러부(4)를 돌출 형성하여 볼록 경사면(a)에서는 운전자와의 반사각을 크게하므로 제2도와 같이 사각지대(5)(6)를 비쳐볼수 있는 것으로 밀러체(3)으로는 자동차(A)의 측면 후방을 관찰하고 볼록 경사면(a)으로는 자동차(A)의 측면 직후방을 관찰할수 있으므로 운전자가 한눈에 측면 후방을 넓게 볼수 있는 것이다.
이와 같이 밀러체(3)에 간격(h)으로 볼록 경사면(a)을 갖는 보조 밀러부(4)를 형성하여 자동차(A)의 사각지대(5)(6)인 측면 직후방까지 반사시켜 관찰할수 있게 하므로 차선(8)(8′)(8″)(8′″)변경시에 운전자가 측면을 돌아 보지 않고도 운전할 수 있을 뿐아니라 측면 직후방의 차량과 충돌 사고를 미연에 방지할 수 있는 효과가 있는 것이다.
