Claims (3)

  1. a) 최대로 2시간내에 중합배치를 80 내지 90℃로 급속히 가열시켜 중합을 개시하고, b) 이어서 반응온도를 시간당 8내지 17℃씩 120℃내지 130℃로 증가시키는데, 여기에서 c)100℃에 이를 때 전환율은 30 내지 60%이고, d) 최대온도에 이를때 전환율은 80%이상이며, 그리고 e) 중합체 내의 잔류단량체 함량이 0.1%미만으로 떨어질때까지 배치를 100내지 130℃로 유지하는 것으로 이루어진, 통상적인 현탁안정제 및 통상적인 스티렌용성 중합촉매의 존재하에 물현탁액중에서 발포제로서 1 내지 10wt.%의 C3-내지 C6-탄화수소 및 만일 필요하다면 효과량의 통상적인 첨가제의 부가와 함께, 스티렌의 중합, 만일 필요하다면 스티렌과 공단량체 와의 중합에 의한 비이드형 발포성 스티렌 중합체의 제조방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 중합이 스티렌의 양에 근거하여, 0.0001 내지 0.01wt. %의 양으로 통상적인 연쇄이동제, 특히 3차 도데실 메르캅탄의 존재하에서 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 0.005 내지 0.1g/㎤의 밀도를 갖는 포음성형물의 제조를 위해, 제1항에 기재된 바와같이 제조된 발포성 스티렌 중합체를 사용하는 방법.
