Claims (8)

  1. 이소부텐 함유 C4공급 스트림을 반응기로 공급하고, 이소부텐 및 메탄올의 적어도 일부분을 선택적으로 반응시키기 위해 산성촉매 존재하에서 상기 공급스트림과 메탄올을 접촉시켜, 메틸 3 차부틸 에테르를 형성시키고, 상기 메틸 3 차부틸 에테르로 구성되는 반응기 유출액을 회복하여 이를 증류 타워로 공급하고, 상기 타워내에서 증류시켜, 반응하지 않은 C4탄화수소 및 메탄올로부터 상기 메틸 3 차부틸 에테르를 분리시키고, 반응하지 않은 C4탄화수소 및 메탈올 함유 추출 찌꺼기를 회복하고, 상기 추출 찌꺼기를 물과 접촉시켜 메탄올을 상기 물로 추출하고, 상기 추출 찌꺼기와 물을 분리시키고, 메탄올/물 혼합물을 회복하고, 상기 메탄올/물 혼합물을 증류시켜 오버헤드로서 메탄올을 제거시키는 것으로 구성되는, 메틸 3 차부틸 에테르의 제조방법에 있어서, 40 내지 60psig 압력에서 상기 메탄올/물 혼합물의 증류를 수행함으로써 메탄올 오버헤드와 상기 타워로부터 회수한 스트림(회수한 스트림은 간접접촉에 앞서 상기 메탄올 오버헤드보다 더 낮은 온도를 가진다) 사이의 간접 열교환에 의해 응축될 메탄올 오버헤드의 온도는 약 104 내지 114℃가 되고, 그것에 의해, 상기 회수한 스트림은 가열되고, 메탄올 오버헤드는 냉각되고 응축되고, 상기 간접 열교환 이후에 상기회수한 스트림을 상기 증류 타워로 재순환시키는 것을 특징으로 하는, 메틸 3 차 부틸 에테르 제조방법.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 회수된 스트림과 상기 메탄올 오버헤드사이의 온도차가 적어도 10℃인 방법.
  3. 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 회수된 스트림의 온도가 35 내지 80℃인 방법.
  4. 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 C4탄화수소 공급물내에 존재하는 이소부텐 기준으로 약 10%이하 내지 100% 또는 화학양론적 량 이상으로, 메틸 3 차부틸 에테르를 형성시키는 반응물내에 메탄올이 존재하는 방법.
  5. 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 C4탄화수소 공급물내에 존재하는 이소부텐 기준으로 화학양론적량보다 약간 적게 내지는 약 50%이상으로, 메틸3차부틸 에테르를 형성시키는 반응물내에 메탄올이 존재하는 방법.
  6. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 메탄올/물 혼합물의 증류로부터 얻은 물이 재순환되어 상기 추출찌꺼기와 접촉되는 방법.
  7. 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 C4탄화수소 공급물내에 존재하는 이소부텐 기준으로 화학양론적량보다 약간 적게 내지는 약 50% 이상으로, 메틸 3 차부틸 에테르를 형성시키는 반응물내에 메탄올이 존재하는 방법.
  8. 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 메탄올/물 혼합물의 증류로부터 얻은 물이 재순환되어 상기 추출찌꺼기와 접촉되는 방법.
