Claims (5)

  1. 공업용 지방산 혼합물을 촉매 수소화하고, 그 수소화된 지방산 혼합물에 하유된 주로 메틸 치환된 포화 C14~C24지방산을 포화된 직쇄 C10~C24지방산으로부터 분리하며, 필요하다면 통상적인 방법, 특히 증류에 의해 정제하는 분리 또는 정제방법으로서, 친수성화 공정에 의해 직쇄상 포화 C10~C24지방산으로부터 메틸 치환된 포화 C14~C24지방산을 분리하며 필요한다면 여러단계로 수행함을 특징으로 하는, 메틸 치환된 C14~C24지방산과 더불어, 메틸 치환된 불포화 C14~C24지방산 뿐만 아니라 포화 또는 불포화 직쇄상 C14~C24지방산을 함유하는 공업용 지방산 혼합물로부터 주로 메틸 치환된 포화 C14~C24지방산을 분리 또는 정제하기 위한 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 주로 C16~C22지방산을 함유하는 공업용 지방산 혼합물로 출발함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 수소화 이후 30중량%를 초과하는 스테아르산 함량을 가질 것을 예상되는 공업용 지방산 혼합물을 촉매 수소화 이전에 친수성화 공정에 의해 미리 분리하여 포화 직쇄상 C10~C24지방산을 분리해 냄을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  4. 제1 내지 3항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 메틸 치환된 포화 C14~C24지방산의 분리를 위해, 촉매 수소화된 지방산 혼합물을 친수성화 공정에 의하여 2차 분리 단계의 분리 온도가 1차 분리 단계의 분리온도보다 10℃이상 낮은 두 단계 분리방법으로 처리함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  5. 제1 내지 3항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 불포화 지방산의 수소화가 고압 및 150~220℃의 온도에서 니켈 또는 팔라듐 촉매의 존재하에 수행됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
