제4도는 프리 페이지 리스트를 도시하는 다이아그램.
제5도는 LRU 리스트 체인을 도시하는 다이아그램.
제6도는 여러 프로그램과 하드웨어가 일반적으로 어떻게 관련되는가를 도시하는 다이아그램.

Claims (3)

  1. 기억 매체 결점을 갖는 디스크로부터 한번에 한셋터씩 연속적으로 데이터 판독의 섹터의 페이지를 기억시키기 위한 DASO 캐쉬를 제공하는 주 메모리를 가지며, 작동 시스템의 섹터를 버퍼링하므로써 응용 프로그램에 데이터를 전송시키는 것을 관리하는 퍼스널 컴퓨터를 작동방법에 있어서, 상기 디스크로부터 선정된 셋터를 판독하기 위한 요청 신호를 제공하는 단계와, 상기 요청 신호에 응답하여, 페이지가 상기 선정된 섹터 및 부가적 사전펫지된 섹터를 포함하는 상기 디스크로부터의 페이지를 판독하는 단계를 구비하며, 상기 선정된 섹터 및 상기 사전펫지된 섹터는 상기 디스크상의 연속적인 로케이션내에 위칙되고, 매체 결점을 포함하는 섹터로부터 데이터를 판독할때마다 에러 신호를 선택적으로 발생하는 단계와, 상기 에러 신호에 응답하여, 섹터가 그러한 에러 신호레 대응함을 나타내는 지시를 상기 캐쉬내에 기억시키는 단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 퍼스널 컴류터 작동 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 판독 단계가 에러 신호가 상기 캐쉬내에 없음을 나타내는 섹터로부터 판독된 데이터를 기억시키고, 그러한 섹터로부터의 유효 데이터가 상기 캐쉬내에 존재함을 나타내도록 그러한 섹터에 대응하는 지시를 세팅시키는 단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 퍼스널 컴퓨터 작동방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 한번에 상기 캐쉬내에 기억되어 있으며, 발생된 에러 신호의 판독과 관련하여 적어도 한 셋터를 포함하는 상기 페이지의 히스토리를 상기 캐쉬내에 만들어 기억시키는 단계와, 상기 요청 신호에 응답하여 요청된 섹터를 포함하는 페이지에 대한 그내의 엔트리에 대해 상기 히스토리를 억세스시키는 단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 퍼스널 컴퓨터 작동방법.
