지르코늄의 불화 황산염으로부터 마이크론 이하의 안정화된 산화지르코늄을 제조하는 방법 및 이에 의해 수득된 안정화 산화 지르코늄의 세라믹 조성물에의 이용

Claims (10)

  1. 지르코늄의 수산화물과, 이트륨 또는 세륨 중에서 선택된 안장화 원소의 수산화물의 혼합물을 하소하고, 수득된 안정화된 산화 지르코늄을 분쇄 및 필요시 체질하여, 안정화된 산화 지르코늄을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 언급된 지르코늄의 수산화물과 안정화 원소의 수산화물의 혼합물이,
    (a) ZrO2로 표시된 5-35중량%의 Zr을 함유하는 지르코늄의 불화황산염 미립자의 pH 약 0-3인 수성현탁액; 및 산화물 형태로 표시된 5-20중량%의 안정화 원소를 함유하는 안정화 원소의 수용액으로 이루어진 혼합물(여기서, 지르코늄의 불화 황산염 수용액과 안정화 원소 염의 수용액의 상대량은 안정화원소/ZrO2의 몰비로 약 1/100-20/100에 상응한다)을 pH 7 이상의 암모니아 또는 알카리성 수산화물로 중화시키고,
    (b) 수득된 수산화물의 혼합물을 여과분리하고, 필요시 암모니아 또는 알카리성 수산화물이 첨가된 물을 사용하여 중성에 가까운 pH로 세척한 다음, 재여과하고,
    (c) 필요시, 상기 수득된 수산화물의 혼합물을 질산 또는 염산의 수용액에 현탁하여 세척한 다음(이때, 수득된 현탁액의 pH는 안정화 원소의 수산화 물 용액의 pH보다 높아야 하고 8을 초과하지 않아야 한다) 이를 여과하여 수득된 것임을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 중화 단계에서 지르코늄의 불화황산염의 미립자가 약 3-10㎛의 평균 세립 측정치를 나타냄을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제 1 또는 2항에 있어서, 중화단계(a)에서 안정화 원소의 산화물/ZrO2의 몰비는 안정화 원소가 이트륨일 때는 1/100-10/100이고 상기한 원소가 세륨일 때는 5/100-20/100임을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  4. 제 3 항에 있어서, 중화단계에서 안정화 원소의 산화물/ZrO2의 몰비는 상기한 원소가 이트륨일 때는 2/100-6/100이고 상기한 원소가 세륨일 때는 8/100-15/100임을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  5. 전술된 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중화 단계를 pH 10 이상의 암모니아 또는 pH 13 이상의 소다에 의해 수행함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  6. 전술된 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중화단계에서 지르코늄의 불화황산염의 수용액은 ZrO2의 형태로 표시된 20-30%의 Zr을 함유하며, 안정화 원소의 염의 용액은 상기 한 원소의 산화물의 형태로 표시된 10-15%의 안정화 원소를 함유함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  7. 전술된 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중화단계(a), 세척 조작 단계(b) 그리고 산에 의한 경우에 따른 세척의 단계(c)를 20-100℃의 온도에서 수행함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  8. 전술된 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 그 특징은 산에 의한 경우에 따른 세척의 단계(c)를 안정화원소가 이트륨일 때는 7-8의 pH에서, 또는 안정화 원소가 세륨일 때는 3-8의 pH에서 실시함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  9. 전술된 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중화단계(a)를 10.5의 pH에서 암모니아에 의해 수행하고, 세척 조작 단계(b)를 동일 pH에서 암모니아의 용액에 의해 수행하며, 세척의 단계(c)를 7.5의 pH에서 수행함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  10. 전술된 항들 중 어느 한 항의 방법에 따라 수득된 안정화된 산화 지르코늄의 세라믹 제조에의 용도.
