Claims (6)

  1. 다수의 서로 다른형의 디스크 드라이브중 어떠한 한 디스크 드라이브라도 서로 다른 시간에서 부착될 수 있는 장치부착 포트를 갖는 컴퓨터 시스템에서, 상기 포트에 현재 부착된 드라이브의 형을 자동적이며 동적원리에 의해서 인식하기 위해 시스템을 채택하는 방법에 있어서, 현재 설치된 드라이브 장치상의 헤드를 상기 드라이브형중 한형의 범위내에 있지 않은 소정의 트랙어드레스로 제1방향으로 이동시키는 상기 포트에 헤드위치 조정명령을 발생하는 제1발생단계를 구비하여 헤드는 서로 다른형의 드라이브에서 서로 다른 트랙에서 위치되어지고, 상기 헤드는 상기 이동에 의해서 상기 소정의 트랙어드레스로 이동되어 지는 것에 대해 트랙어드레스를 판단하는 단계를 구비하여 상기 판단된 어드레스는 상기 포트에 부착된 장치형에 관련되는 것을 특징으로 하는 컴퓨터 시스템 채택방법.
  2. 제1항에 따른 방법에 있어서, 상기 판단단계는 상기 헤드를 상기 제1방향과 반대방향으로 고정된 증가만큼 기준트랙 위치로 이동시키는 상기 포트에 또다른 일련의 헤드위치 조정명령을 발생하는 제2발생단계와, 헤드가 상기 고정된 증가만큼 상기 기준위치로 복귀될 때 드라이브에서 나온 상태표시를 상기 시스템에 제공하는 단계와, 상기 상태표시보다 먼저 상기 시스템에 의해서 발생된 고정된 증가수를 계수하는 단계와, 상기 포트에서 현재 설치된 드라이브형에 상기 고정된 증가계수를 연관시키는 단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컴퓨터 시스템 채택방법.
  3. 제2항에 따른 방법에 있어서, 상기 제1발생단계는 먼저 상기 포트에 헤드위치 조정명령을 발생하여 상기 헤드를 상기 기준트랙 위치로 이동시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 컴퓨터 시스템 채택방법.
  4. 제2항에 따른 방법에 있어서, 상기 계수단계는 또한 소정된 수까지 계수하고, 상기 소정수는 어떠한 드라이브형에 의한 계수를 초과하고 상기 연관단계는 상기 계수의 소정된 수를 상기 포트에서 드라이브부재에 연관시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 컴퓨터 시스템 채택방법.
  5. 상기 디스크 드라이브의 형을 판단하는 상기 제어서의 포트에 부착된 디스크 드라이브의 컴퓨터 시스템의 디스크 제어기에 있어서, 제1신호를 상기 포트로 전달하는 수단과, 상기 제1신호는 상기 포트에 부착된 드라이브의 헤드를 고트랙 위치로 제1방향으로 이동시키고, 상기 고트랙 위치는 디스크 드라이브 중 적어도 한형에서는 억세스 불가능하고, 상기 수단은 또한 한 셋트의 제2신호를 상기 포트로 전달하고, 각각의 상기 제2신호는 상기 헤드를 상기 제1방향과 방대방향으로 소정된 증가만큼 기준트랙 위치로 이동시키고, 상기 드라이브로부터 기준트랙 신호를 수신하는 수단과, 상기 기준트랙 신호는 기준트랙 위치에 상기 드라이브내의 상기 헤드의 위치를 표시하고, 상기 수신용 수단이 상기 기준트랙 신호를 수신하기 전에 상기 전달수단에 의해서 상기 포트로 전달된 제2신호수를 계수하는 수단과, 상기 수를 상기 포트에 부착된 상기 드라이브의 형에 연관시키는 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컴퓨터 시스템의 디스크 제어기.
  6. 제5항에 따른 디스크 제어기에 있어서, 상기 전달용 수단은 제2신호의 최대수에 지나지 않는 것을 상기 포트로 전달하고, 상기 최대수는 상기 헤드를 어떠한 가능하게 부착된 형의 드라이브에서 상기 고트랙위치로부터 상기 기준 트랙 위치로 이동시키는 데 필요한 소정의 증가수보다 크고, 상기 연관용 수단은 상기 계수의 최대수의 계수를 상기 포트에서 드라이브의 부재에 연관시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 컴퓨터 시스템의 디스크 제어기.
