Description
The present invention relates to an auxiliary feed for livestock containing calcium-containing chitin or a mixture of chitin and chitosan as an active ingredient, and a process for producing the same.
Supplementary feeds include additives used to improve functionalities such as digestive power, physiological activity, growth promotion, and immunity enhancement of livestock products added to compound feeds. As a result, the consumption of livestock products was increased due to westernization of the national diet, The negative views were raised. Particularly, cholesterol is one of the main causes of arteriosclerosis, and it is necessary to improve supplementary diets that can lower LDL cholesterol and enhance HDL cholesterol in livestock products. In addition, the livestock industry generally uses antibiotics that promote livestock growth and prevent and treat diseases of livestock (Guo, FC et al., 2004, Effects of a Chinese herb medicine formulation, as an alternative for antibiotics, The use of antibiotics frequently increases the resistance of the microorganisms to the antibiotics, resulting in poor efficacy of the antibiotics, or they may remain in the livestock products and cause adverse effects on the human body. (Chae, MH et al., 2011, Antimicrobial resistance in Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli isolated from food animals and raw meats in slaughterhouse in Korea during 2010, Kor. Vet., Publ. Hilth., 35, 239-245).
Chitin is a polysaccharide polymer substance composed of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine monomers in an abundance. It is present in the keratin of various animals such as insects such as bones, feelings and locusts of cuttlefish, molds and molds in nature. Chitosan is a polysaccharide polymer substance made up of polysaccharide polymers that are made up of polysaccharides separated from acetyl groups in chitin. Chitin itself is difficult to dissolve and decompose in the human body, so it decomposes in nature for a long period of several months to several years. And the conversion from chitin to chitosan is comparatively easy to dissolve and decompose and its utilization becomes higher. Unlike most conventional plant fibers (dietary fibers), which have a negative charge (-), chitosan has a unique structure called natural animal fiber, which is positively charged (+) in the dissolved state.
Chitosan fiber is a helical structure with a strong hydrogen bond between sugar chains, which helps to absorb and discharge waste materials and adsorbs and discharges anionic complexes, which form harmful substances such as heavy metals, radioactive materials and pesticides accumulated in the human body. Chitosan has been widely studied mainly on chitooligosaccharide mainly for health functional foods. It can control cholesterol to prevent blood vessel and circulatory diseases, and various functionalities such as immunity enhancement and antibacterial activity have been demonstrated in animal experiments and human clinical trials There is a bar.
The present invention relates to feed compositions containing chitin and chitosan, and more particularly, to a feed composition containing low molecular weight chitin and chitooligosaccharide for axes and fisheries, which is disclosed in Korean Patent No. 10-0171246, A method of manufacturing a feed and an auxiliary feed by the method are disclosed in Korean Patent Laid-Open No. 10-2009-0080612. In addition, although a swine nutrient containing water-soluble chitosan and a method of using the same are disclosed in Korean Patent No. 10-0327966, calcium-containing chitin or chitin and chitosan, which have been appropriately subjected to deproteinization, decalcification and deacylation processes, There has not been disclosed an auxiliary feed for livestock having a function of improving the quality of meat by preparing supplementary feeds and eating on the livestock and a method for producing the auxiliary feeds.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an auxiliary feed for livestock containing calcium-containing chitin or a mixture of chitin and chitosan as an active ingredient, and a process for producing the same.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a supplementary feed for livestock containing the calcium-containing chitin or a mixture of chitin and chitosan as an active ingredient.
The above object of the present invention can be achieved by a method for producing a calcium-containing chitin comprising the steps of: preparing calcium-containing chitin using a crab shell; Analyzing the general components and chitin content of the calcium-containing chitin prepared above; Producing a supplementary feed for livestock containing the calcium-containing chitin prepared as described above; Feeding the above-prepared supplementary feeds to a cow; evaluating the grade; And the meat quality was evaluated.
The present invention provides an auxiliary feed for livestock containing a calcium-containing chitin or a mixture of chitin and chitosan as an active ingredient and a method for producing the same, and is characterized in that calcium-containing chitin or chitin And chitosan are added to supplementary feed for livestock to improve the quality of meat by feeding on the livestock. This not only improves the value of livestock meat in terms of nutritional, functional and quality, but also has an excellent effect of maximizing the utilization of crab shell have.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is a diagram showing a process for producing an animal feed supplement containing calcium or chitin and chitosan according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fig.
The crab shells used in the present invention were purchased from Donghae Hongghwa Processed Fisheries Company. Chitin, chitosan and chitooligosaccharide were purchased from Kumho Hwasung, which is a certified product of the present inventor.
The auxiliary feed of the present invention can be mixed with all livestock feed such as pigs and chickens.
The present invention will be described in more detail with reference to Examples. However, the following examples are merely illustrative of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
Example 1 Production of Calcium-Containing Chitin According to the Present Invention
100 g of a 5% by weight hydrochloric acid solution was added to 100 g of the crushed crab shell and the mixture was immersed at 15 to 25 ° C for 5 to 10 hours to remove the ash and calcium. 100 g of a 5 wt% sodium hydroxide solution was added thereto at 80 to 100 ° C Proteins were removed by immersion for 12 hours. The decalcined and deproteinized crab shells were washed with water and water was removed to prepare the calcium-containing chitin of the present invention. Chitin A was immersed in a hydrochloric acid solution for 5 to 8 hours and chitin B was immersed in a hydrochloric acid solution for 8 to 10 hours.
<Experimental Example 1> Analysis of general components and chitin content of calcium-containing chitin
The calcium-containing chitin of the present invention was dried and pulverized and used. The ash soluble protein content was determined by subtracting the moisture, ash and chitin content of the sample and the protein content in the alkali. The chitin content was determined by quantifying the residual protein content, dehydrating and measuring the weight loss.
As shown in Table 1, the amount of residual calcium was decreased as the sample immersed in the hydrochloric acid solution, and the amount of chitin was increased. Therefore, the amount of residual calcium and the content of chitin can be controlled according to the time difference of the sample immersed in the hydrochloric acid solution. Thus, when properly utilized, the chitin having a high calcium content can be used to produce a nutritious supplementary feed. The calcium content can be removed to 97 wt% based on the total weight of calcium.
