Yeoju is known to have an effect on diabetes due to hypoglycemic action. It is also known to increase immunity, detoxification, fever, parasitism, diuretic effects, redness of eyes, redness of skin, inflammation of skin, swelling, stomach pain, acute dysentery, toothache and sunstroke.

Experimental group with dry scalp showed moisturizing effect to prevent moisture from evaporating from hair after use of Yeoju shampoo although the hair was dry and rough before experiment.
