- 복수의 액세스 유닛을 갖는, 화상 및 소리의 적어도 한 쪽을 포함하는 스트림이 기록되는 정보 기록 매체로서,1개의 상기 액세스 유닛은, 기본 데이터를 포함하는 제1 패킷과, 상기 기본 데이터와 관련되는 확장 데이터를 포함하는 제2 패킷을 갖고,상기 기본 데이터는, 상기 확장 데이터를 필요로 하지 않고 완전한 상태로 복호할 수 있는 데이터이고, 상기 확장 데이터는, 상기 기본 데이터에서 생성되는 데이터의 질을 향상시키기 위한 데이터이며,상기 스트림은 상기 제1 패킷 및 상기 제2 패킷의 속성을 나타내는 정보를 갖는, 정보 기록 매체.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 정보는, 상기 스트림의 descriptor에 기술되어 있는, 정보 기록 매체.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 액세스 유닛은 소리에 관한 데이터로서, 상기 속성은, 채널, 주파수, 비트 레이트, 및 2채널의 다운믹스 데이터의 존재의 유무의 적어도 하나를 특정하는, 정보 기록 매체.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 각 상기 액세스 유닛은 일정시간의 데이터인, 정보 기록 매체.
- 청구항 1에 기재된 정보 기록 매체에 기록되어 있는 상기 액세스 유닛 및 상기 정보를 취득하는 취득 수단과,상기 정보를 이용하여, 상기 액세스 유닛을 재생하는 재생 수단을 구비하는, 데이터 재생 장치.
