Description
Claims (5)
- LED(Light Emitting Diode)를 구동하는 LED구동장치에 있어서,소정의 전원장치로부터 상기 LED로 전원을 공급 또는 차단시킴으로써 상기 LED에 흐르는 전류의 크기를 조정하는 전류조정부;상기 전류조정부의 동작을 제어함으로써 상기 LED에 흐르는 전류의 파형을 변조하는 변조제어부; 및상기 파형이 변조되어 상기 LED에 흐르는 전류가 소정치 이상을 유지하도록 상기 전류조정부의 동작을 제어하는 정전류오프셋부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 LED구동장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 전류조정부는,온 또는 오프신호를 입력하여 상기 전원장치로부터 상기 LED로 전원을 공급 또는 차단시키는 스위칭부;상기 LED에 흐르는 전류가 급격히 변화하지 않도록 조정하는 레귤레이팅부;상기 LED에 흐르는 전류를 검출하는 전류검출부; 및상기 전류검출부에 의해 검출된 전류가 제1문턱치 이상인 것으로 판정하는 경우 상기 스위칭부를 오프시키고, 상기 제1문턱치 미만인 것으로 판정하는 경우 상기 스위칭부를 온시키는 신호를 출력하는 스위칭제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으 로 하는 LED구동장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 변조제어부는, 소정의 펄스폭변조(PWM: Pulse Width Modulation)신호를 입력하여 상기 스위칭제어부의 출력신호를 상기 스위칭부에 공급하거나 차단시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 LED구동장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 정전류오프셋부는, 상기 전류검출기에 의해 검출된 상기 LED에 흐르는 전류가 제2문턱치 이상이고 상기 스위칭제어부의 출력신호가 차단되는 것으로 판정하는 경우 상기 스위칭부를 오프시키고, 상기 LED에 흐르는 전류가 상기 제2문턱치 미만인 것으로 판정하는 경우 상기 스위칭부를 온시키는 신호를 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 LED구동장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 정전류오프셋부는,상기 전류검출기에 의해 검출된 상기 LED에 흐르는 전류에 대응하는 전압과 상기 제2문턱치에 대응하는 전압을 비교하여 상기 LED에 흐르는 전류에 대응하는 전압이 큰 것으로 판정하는 경우 논리적 하이(High)신호를 출력하는 비교기;상기 비교기의 출력신호를 리셋(Reset)입력으로 하고, 소정 주파수의 펄스신 호를 셋(Set)입력으로 하는 S-R플립플롭; 및상기 S-R플립플롭의 출력신호 및 상기 변조제어부의 출력신호를 입력하여, 그 논리합을 상기 스위칭부에 출력하는 OR게이트를 포함하는 것으로 특징으로 하는 LED구동장치.
