Abstract
본 발명은, 본체와, 상기 본체에 마련되어 전원을 온/오프하기 위한 전원키와, 영상화면을 표시하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명의 디스플레이 장치는 외부로부터 화상신호를 입력받는 신호입력부와; 장치 내의 각 회로부로 전원을 공급하는 전원 공급부와; 상기 신호입력부를 통해 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하고, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우 장치 내의 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하는 자동오프모드로 진입하며, 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 상기 전원키가 입력되는 경우, 상기 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하여, 상기 화상신호가 비정상이라고 판단되면 상기 자동오프모드를 유지하고, 상기 입력되는 화상신호가 정상이면 영상화면을 디스플레이하도록 상기 전원 공급부 및 상기 디스플레이부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 의하여, 전원키 입력에 따른 전원오프상태와 자동오프모드상태의 혼동을 방지하여, 사용자의 번거로움을 줄일 수 있는 디스플레이 장치를 제공할 수 있다.

본 발명은, 본체와, 상기 본체에 마련되어 전원을 온/오프하기 위한 전원키와, 영상화면을 표시하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 전원키 입력에 따른 전원오프상태와 자동오프모드상태의 혼동을 방지하여, 사용자의 번거로움을 줄일 수 있는 디스플레이 장치 및 그 제어방법 에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로, 본체와, 상기 본체에 마련되어 전원을 온/오프하기 위한 전원키와, 영상화면을 표시하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치는 전원 오프상태에서 상기 전원키가 입력되면 장치내의 각 회로부로 전원을 공급하여 전원 온상태로 진입하며, 외부로부터 입력되는 화상신호를 처리하여 상기 디스플레이부의 화면에 영상화면을 표시한다. 또한, 디스플레이 장치는 상기와 같은 전원 온상태에서 상기 전원키가 입력되면 장치내의 각 회로부로 공급되는 전원을 차단하여 전원을 오프한다.
이러한 디스플레이 장치는 상기 전원이 온 된 상태에서 외부로부터 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 않는 경우에는 비정상적인 화상신호가 입력되고 있음을 알리는 비정상 경고 메시지를 상기 디스플레이부의 화면에 표시하고, 소정 시간이 경과하면 상기 비정상 경고 메시지를 제거하고 장치내의 회로부로 공급되는 전원을 차단하여 전원소비를 절약하는 자동오프모드로 진입한다. 이 후, 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되는 경우에는 장치내의 각 회로부로 정상적인 전원을 공급하여 상기 화상신호에 따른 영상화면을 상기 디스플레이부의 화면에 표시한다.
하지만, 이러한 종래의 디스플레이 장치는, 비정상적인 화상신호의 입력으로 인해 자동오프모드로 진입한 경우, 사용자는 상기 디스플레이부의 화면을 보고 디스플레이 장치의 현재 상태가 전원오프상태인지 또는 자동오프모드상태인지를 판단하는데 어려움이 있다.
이에, 사용자는 디스플레이 장치가 자동오프모드상태인 경우에 전원오프상태로 착각하여 전원을 온하고자 상기 전원키를 입력하게 되는 경우가 발생하고, 상기 전원키의 입력에 의해 디스플레이 장치는 상기 자동오프모드와는 별도로 전원을 오프하게 된다. 이러한 경우, 사용자 입장에서는 자동오프모드상태와 전원오프상태의 변화를 느끼지 못하고 전원을 온하기 위해 상기 전원키를 다시 입력해야 하는 번거로움이 있다.
또한, 종래의 디스플레이 장치는 상기와 같이 다시 전원키를 입력하여 전원온상태가 되어도 비정상적인 화상신호가 입력되는 경우 다시 자동오프모드로 진입하기 때문에, 디스플레이 장치의 현재 상태가 전원오프상태인지 또는 자동오프모드상태인지를 판단하는데 여전히 어려움이 있다.
따라서, 본 발명의 목적은, 전원키 입력에 따른 전원오프상태와 자동오프모드상태의 혼동을 방지하여, 사용자의 번거로움을 줄일 수 있는 디스플레이 장치 및 그 제어방법을 제공하는 것이다.
상기 목적은, 본체와, 상기 본체에 마련되어 전원을 온/오프하기 위한 전원키와, 영상화면을 표시하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치에 있어서, 외부로부터 화상신호를 입력받는 신호입력부와; 장치 내의 각 회로부로 전원을 공급하는 전원 공급부와; 상기 신호입력부를 통해 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하고, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우 장치 내의 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차 단하는 자동오프모드로 진입하며, 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 상기 전원키가 입력되는 경우, 상기 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하여, 상기 화상신호가 비정상이라고 판단되면 상기 자동오프모드를 유지하고, 상기 입력되는 화상신호가 정상이면 영상화면을 디스플레이하도록 상기 전원 공급부 및 상기 디스플레이부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치에 의해 달성된다.
여기서, 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 생성하는 OSD생성부를 더 포함하며; 상기 제어부는, 상기 신호입력부를 통해 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우, 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 표시하도록 상기 OSD생성부를 제어하고, 상기 OSD메시지 표시 후 소정시간이 경과되면, 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하도록 상기 전원 공급부를 제어하여 자동오프모드로 진입하는 것이 바람직하다.
또한, 상기 제어부는, 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되면 상기 입력된 화상신호에 따른 영상화면을 디스플레이하도록 상기 전원 공급부 및 상기 디스플레이부를 제어하며; 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 상기 전원키가 입력되는 경우, 상기 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하여, 상기 화상신호가 비정상이라고 판단되면 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 표시하도록 상기 OSD생성부를 제어하고, 상기 OSD메시지 표시 후 소정시간이 경과되면, 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하도록 상기 전원 공급부를 제어하여 자동오프모드를 유지하는 것이 바람직하다.
한편, 상기 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 다른 분야에 따르면, 본체와, 상기 본체에 마련되어 전원을 온/오프하기 위한 전원키와, 영상화면을 표시하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치의 제어방법에 있어서, 외부로부터 입력되 는 화상신호의 정상여부를 감지하는 단계와; 상기 감지 결과, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우 장치 내의 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하는 자동오프모드로 진입하는 단계와; 상기 전원키가 입력되는지를 감지하는 단계와; 상기 전원키가 입력되는 경우, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니하면 상기 자동오프모드를 유지하는 단계와; 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되면 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 재개하고, 상기 화상신호에 따른 영상화면을 상기 디스플레이부의 화면에 표시하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치의 제어방법에 의해서 달성된다.
여기서, OSD생성부를 포함하는 단계를 더 포함하며; 상기 자동오프모드로 진입하는 단계는, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우, OSD생성부를 제어하여 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 표시하는 단계와, 상기 OSD메시지 표시 후 소정시간이 경과되면, 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하는 단계를 포함하는 것이 바람직하다.
또한, 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되는 경우, 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 재개하고, 상기 화상신호에 따른 영상화면을 상기 디스플레이부의 화면에 표시하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것이 바람직하다.

도 1은 본 발명에 따른 디스플레이 장치의 제어 블록도이다. 본 도면에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따른 디스플레이 장치(100)는 외부입력소스(1)로부터 화상신호를 입력받는 신호 입력부(10)와, 장치(100) 내의 각 회로부로 전원을 공급하는 전원 공급부(50)와, 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지화면을 생성하는 OSD생성부(30) 와, 영상화면을 표시하는 디스플레이부(미도시)를 포함하며, 디스플레이부(미도시)는 표시부(40)와, 외부입력소스(1)로부터 입력되는 화상신호를 표시부(40)에 표시 가능하도록 처리하는 신호처리부(20)와, 신호처리부(20)로부터 출력되는 신호와 OSD생성부(30)로부터 출력되는 OSD신호를 믹싱하여 소정의 영상신호를 표시부(40)로 출력하는 믹서(35)를 포함한다. 또한 본 발명의 디스플레이 장치(100)는 전원을 온/오프하기 위한 전원키(13)와, 장치 내의 각 회로부로의 전원공급 상태를 사용자에게 알리기 위해 점등되는 LED(15)와, 신호입력부(10)를 통해 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하고, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우 장치 내의 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하는 자동오프모드로 진입하며, 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 전원키(13)가 입력되는 경우, 상기 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하여 상기 화상신호가 비정상이라고 판단되면 상기 자동오프모드를 유지하고, 상기 입력되는 화상신호가 정상이면 영상화면을 표시부(40)에 디스플레이하도록 전원공급부(50) 및 신호 처리부(20)를 제어하는 마이컴(60)을 포함한다.
전원키(13)는 디스플레이 장치(100)의 본체에 마련되어, 장치(100)의 전원을 온/오프 하기위해 사용자에 의해 선택 입력되어 입력신호를 마이컴(60)으로 출력하는 버튼부이다.
외부입력소스(1)는, 디스플레이 장치(100)의 신호입력부(10)를 통해 디스플레이 장치(100)로 화상신호를 제공하는 장치로서, PC나 DVD플레이어 혹은 셋 톱 박스 등 다양하게 마련될 수 있다.
신호 입력부(10)는, 외부입력소스(1)로부터 화상신호를 입력받는 역할을 하 며, 외부입력소스(1)로부터 화상신호를 입력받기 위해 입력케이블을 통해 연결되어 영상을 위한 화상신호 및 수직/수평 동기신호 등을 입력받는다.
OSD생성부(30)는 마이컴(60)의 제어에 의해, 디스플레이 장치(100)로 입력되는 화상신호 입력상태의 에러를 나타내는 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지화면을 생성하여 출력한다.
신호 처리부(20)는, 외부입력소스(1)로부터 입력되는 화상신호를 표시부(40)에 표시 가능하도록 처리하여 출력하는 역할을 하며, 이는 표시부(40)의 구성에 따라, 예를 들면 표시부(40)가 LCD로 구성되었는지 혹은 CRT로 구성되었는지에 따라 화상신호를 처리할 수 있도록 대응되게 구성된다.
마이컴(60)은, 종래의 디스플레이 장치와 같이, 전원 오프상태에서 전원키(13)가 입력되면 LED(15)를 점등하고 장치(100)내의 각 회로부로 전원을 공급하도록 전원공급부(50)를 제어하여 전원 온상태로 진입하며, 외부로부터 입력되는 화상신호를 처리하여 표시부(40)에 영상화면을 표시하도록 신호처리부(20)를 제어한다. 또한, 디스플레이 장치(100)가 상기와 같은 전원 온상태에서 전원키(13)가 입력되면 마이컴(60)은 LED(15)를 소등하고 장치(100)내의 각 회로부로 공급되는 전원을 차단하도록 전원공급부(50)를 제어하여 전원을 오프한다.
여기서, 마이컴(60)은, 외부입력소스(1)로부터 입력되는 정상적인 화상신호의 기준 수직동기 주파수범위 및 수평동기 주파수범위를 저장하고, 상기와 같이 전원키(13)에 의해 전원이 온 된 상태에서 신호입력부(10)를 통해 입력되는 신호의 수직/수평 동기 주파수와 상기 저장된 기준 수직동기 주파수범위 및 수평동기 주파 수범위를 비교하여 감시한다. 상기 감시결과, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우 마이컴(60)은 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 표시부(40)에 표시하고 상기 OSD메시지 표시 후 소정시간이 경과되면 상기 OSD메시지를 제거하도록 OSD생성부(30)를 제어하고, LED(15)를 소등하고 장치 내(100)의 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하도록 전원공급부(50)를 제어하여 자동오프모드로 진입한다.
이때, 마이컴(60)은 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 전원키(13)가 입력되는 경우, 상기 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하여 상기 화상신호가 비정상이라고 판단되면 상기 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 다시 표시하고 상기 OSD메시지 표시 후 소정시간이 경과되면, 상기 OSD메시지를 제거하도록 OSD생성부(30)를 제어하고, 장치 내(100)의 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하도록 전원공급부(50)를 제어하여 상기 자동오프모드를 유지한다.
또한, 마이컴(60)은, 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 전원키(13)가 입력되는 경우, 신호입력부(10)를 통해 정상적인 화상신호가 입력된다고 판단되면 상기 전원 온 상태와 같이 LED(15)를 점등하고 장치(100)내의 각 회로부로 정상적인 전원을 공급하도록 전원공급부(50)를 제어하며, 상기 화상신호에 따른 정상적인 영상화면을 표시부(40)에 디스플레이하도록 신호 처리부(20)를 제어한다.
이러한 구성을 갖는 본 발명에 따른 디스플레이 장치의 제어 흐름을 도 2를 참조하여 설명하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 마이컴(60)은 전원키(13)에 의해 전원이 온 된 상태에서 신호입력부(10)를 통해 입력되는 화상신호가 정상인지를 판단한다(S10). 상기 판단결과, 비정상적인 화상신호가 입력되는 경우, 마이컴(60) 은 OSD생성부(30)를 제어하여 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지화면을 표시부(40)에 표시한다(S20). 상기 비정상 OSD메시지를 표시한 후, 소정시간이 경과되는지를 판단하여(S30), 소정시간 경과되면 마이컴(60)은 상기 비정상 OSD메시지를 제거하도록 OSD생성부(30)를 제어하고, LED(15)를 소등하고 장치(100) 내의 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하도록 전원공급부(50)를 제어하여 자동오프모드로 진입한다(S40). 마이컴(60)은 계속해서 정성적인 화상신호가 입력되는지를 감시하고(S50), 또한 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 전원키(13)가 입력되는지를 감시한다(S60). 상기 감시결과, 전원키(13)가 입력되는 경우, 마이컴(60)은 입력되는 화상신호가 정상인지를 판단하여 입력되는 화상신호가 비정상이라고 판단되면 상기 자동오프모드를 유지하는 상기 (S10)단계~(S40)단계를 반복 수행한다. 여기서, 상기(S10)단계의 판단결과, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되는 경우, 마이컴(60)은 신호처리부(20) 및 전원 공급부(50)를 제어하여 상기 화상신호에 따른 정상적인 영상화면을 표시부(40)에 표시한다(S70). 또한 상기 (S50)단계의 판단결과, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되는 경우, 마이컴(60)은 신호처리부(20) 및 전원 공급부(50)를 제어하여 상기 화상신호에 따른 정상적인 영상화면을 표시부(40)에 표시한다(S70).
이러한 과정을 통해, 본 발명에 따른 디스플레이 장치(100)는, 비정상적인 화상신호의 입력으로 인해 자동오프모드로 진입하여, 사용자가 표시부(40)를 보고 디스플레이 장치(100)의 현재 상태가 전원오프상태인지 또는 자동오프모드상태인지를 판단하기 어려운 상황에서, 사용자가 디스플레이 장치(100)가 전원오프상태인 것으로 착각하여 전원을 온하고자 전원키(13)를 입력하게 되면, 비정상적인 화상신 호의 입력으로 인한 비정상 OSD메시지 화면을 표시부(40)에 표시하고 자동오프모드를 유지한다. 물론, 디스플레이 장치(100)가 전원오프 상태였다면, 전원키(13)의 입력에 의해 종래의 일반적인 구성과 같이 전원온상태가 되는 것은 당연하다.
이에, 사용자는 디스플레이 장치(100)가 자동오프모드인 상태에서 전원오프상태인 것으로 착각하여 전원을 온하고자 전원키(13)를 입력하게 되면, 비정상 OSD메시지 화면이 표시부(40)에 표시되어, 현재 자동오프모드상태인 것을 인지할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 전원키(13)의 입력에 의해 전원이 오프되지 아니하고 자동오프모드가 유지됨으로써, 디스플레이 장치(100)의 전원 온을 위해 사용자가 다시 전원키(13)를 입력해야 하는 번거로움을 해결할 수 있다.
이상 설명한 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따르면, 전원키 입력에 따른 전원오프상태와 자동오프모드상태의 혼동을 방지하여, 사용자의 번거로움을 줄일 수 있는 디스플레이 장치 및 그 제어방법을 제공할 수 있다.
Claims (6)
- 본체와, 상기 본체에 마련되어 전원을 온/오프하기 위한 전원키와, 영상화면을 표시하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치에 있어서,외부로부터 화상신호를 입력받는 신호입력부와;장치 내의 각 회로부로 전원을 공급하는 전원 공급부와;상기 신호입력부를 통해 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하고, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우 장치 내의 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하는 자동오프모드로 진입하며, 상기 자동오프모드상태에서 상기 전원키가 입력되는 경우, 상기 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하여, 상기 화상신호가 비정상이라고 판단되면 상기 자동오프모드를 유지하고, 상기 입력되는 화상신호가 정상이면 영상화면을 디스플레이하도록 상기 전원 공급부 및 상기 디스플레이부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 생성하는 OSD생성부를 더 포함하며;상기 제어부는,상기 신호입력부를 통해 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우, 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 표시하도록 상기 OSD생성부를 제어하고, 상기 OSD메시지 표시 후 소정시간이 경과되면, 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하도록 상기 전원 공급 부를 제어하여 자동오프모드로 진입하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 2항에 있어서,상기 제어부는,상기 자동오프모드상태에서 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되면 상기 입력된 화상신호에 따른 영상화면을 디스플레이하도록 상기 전원 공급부 및 상기 디스플레이부를 제어하며;상기 자동오프모드상태에서 상기 전원키가 입력되는 경우, 상기 입력되는 화상신호를 감시하여, 상기 화상신호가 비정상이라고 판단되면 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 표시하도록 상기 OSD생성부를 제어하고, 상기 OSD메시지 표시 후 소정시간이 경과되면, 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하도록 상기 전원 공급부를 제어하여 자동오프모드를 유지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 본체와, 상기 본체에 마련되어 전원을 온/오프하기 위한 전원키와, 영상화면을 표시하는 디스플레이부를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치의 제어방법에 있어서,외부로부터 입력되는 화상신호의 정상여부를 감지하는 단계와;상기 감지 결과, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우 장치 내의 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하는 자동오프모드로 진입하는 단계와;상기 전원키가 입력되는지를 감지하는 단계와;상기 전원키가 입력되는 경우, 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니하면 상기 자동오프모드를 유지하는 단계와;정상적인 화상신호가 입력되면 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 재개하고, 상기 화상신호에 따른 영상화면을 상기 디스플레이부의 화면에 표시하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치의 제어방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서,OSD생성부를 포함하는 단계를 더 포함하며;상기 자동오프모드로 진입하는 단계는,정상적인 화상신호가 입력되지 아니한 경우, OSD생성부를 제어하여 입력신호 비정상 OSD메시지를 표시하는 단계와,상기 OSD메시지 표시 후 소정시간이 경과되면, 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 차단하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치의 제어방법.
- 제 5항에 있어서,상기 자동오프모드상태에서 정상적인 화상신호가 입력되는 경우, 각 회로부로의 전원공급을 재개하고, 상기 화상신호에 따른 영상화면을 상기 디스플레이부의 화면에 표시하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치의 제어방법.
