Abstract

휴대용 개인 정보 단말기의 화면 확대 방법에 관한 것으로, 입력도구 즉 스타일러스를 이용하여 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기상의 확대하고자 하는 화면 영역을 선택한 후, 선택된 영역을 사용자의 키 조작을 통해 혹은 기 설정된 비율로 확대하는 것을 특징으로 하며,이를 구현하기 위해 화면의 일정 부분을 확대하기 위한 소프트웨어와 화면확대를 위한 특정버튼 및 확대수단을 포함하여 구성되며, 이로 인해 사용자의 편의성을 증대시키며,아울러 휴대 단말기의 조작성을 향상시키는 효과가 있다.

Description

휴대용 개인 단말기의 화면 확대 방법 {Portable Personal Digital Assistance}
본 발명은 휴대 단말기에 관한 것으로,특히 화면 확대기능을 갖는 휴대용 개인 단말기에 관한 것이다.
일반적인 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기(PDA:Personal Digital Assistance)의 액정화면은 3.5~3.8 인치의 화면크기의 240x320 픽셀의 해상도 성능을 보여준다. 이정도 크기의 화면에서는 표현할 수 있는 그래픽 및 문자의 크기가 제한 될 수 밖에 없고 이로 인해 응용 프로그램 자체에 화면 확대나 문자 확대 기능이 절실히 요구되고 있는 실정이다.
따라서, 본 발명은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 안출된 것으로서, 화면 확대 기능을 갖는 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.

상기한 목적을 달성하기 위해, 본 발명에 따르는 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기는 화면의 일정 부분을 확대하기 위한 소프트웨어와 화면확대를 위한 특정버튼 및 확대수단을 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.
이하,첨부된 도면들을 참조하여 본 발명에 따르는 휴대용 정보 단말기의 바람직한 실시예를 상세히 설명한다.
도 1은 본 발명에 따르는 휴대용 정보 단말기(이하 PDA)를 도시한 도면이다. 도면에 도시된 바와 같이 PDA의 각 조작 부분이 도시되어 있다.
버튼 1 내지 버튼 5는 누름식 버튼으로 통상적으로 PDA에 어플리케이션 버튼이라고 해서 몇개가 있다
본 발명에서는 이중 하나를 확대 기능에 할당한다. 상기 확대 버튼을 누른채 스타일러스 즉,입력도구를 사용하여 화면상에 확대될 영역을 선택하고,확대배율을 선택한다.
운영체제는 사용자 인터페이스(Shell Program)에서 선택된 영역을 미리 정해진 배율로 확대하여 표시한다. 상기한 스타일러스를 사용하여 확대영역을 누른다음 스타일러스를 이동하면 확대된 부분이 따라 이동하게 된다. 입력도구로서,상기 스타일러스를 이용하지 않고 방향 버튼을 이용하여 이동시킬 수도 있다.
두번째 실시예로서, 상기 확대 버튼을 누른채 스타일러스를 사용하여 화면상에 확대될 영역을 선택하면, 운영체제의 사용자 인터페이스(Shell progrma)에서 선택된 영역을 미리 정해진 배율로 확대하여 표시한다. 상기한 스타일러스를 사용하여 확대 영역을 누른다음 스타일러스를 이동하면 확대된 부분이 따라서 이동한다.
확대버튼을 한번 더 누르면 확대비율이 변한다. 예를 들어 2,4배의 순서로 확대비율이 변한다. 이러한 방법은 도 2에 도시된 플로우 챠트를 통해 상세히 도시된다.
상기한 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따르는 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기는 작은화면의 특정 선택 영역을 확장하여 사용자의 편의성을 증대시키며,아울러 휴대 단말기의 조작성을 향상시키는 효과가 있다.

Claims (3)

  1. 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기에 있어서,
    상기 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기의 화면 확대 버튼을 누르는 단계와
    상기 정보 단말기의 터치 스크린을 통해 입력도구의 화면 확대 영역을 입력 하는 단계와,
    상기 화면 확대 영역의 배율을 결정하는 단계와,
    결정된 배율만큼 상기 선택된 화면 영역을 확대하는 단계를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기의 화면 확대 방법.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 확대된 화면 영역의 방향 이동을 방향 이동 버튼 혹은 상기 입력 도구를 통해 수행하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기의 화면 확대 방법.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 화면 확대 영역의 배율은 사용자가 임의로 결정할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 휴대용 개인 정보 단말기의 화면 확대 방법.
