Claims (13)
- 반응 시간이 상이한 적어도 2 종류의 발광 소자(R,G,B)를 구비한 디스플레이 디바이스(17)에 표시할 영상을 처리하는 방법에 있어서,가장 느린 반응 시간과 상이한 반응 시간을 나타내는 발광 소자(R,B)에 대한 비디오 데이터를 선택하고; 반응 시간이 가장 느린 부류(G)에 속하지 않는 발광 소자(R,B)를 구동하기 위한 비디오 데이터를 보정하여 상기 발광 소자의 반응 시간차가 인위적으로 보상되도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 디스플레이 디바이스 상의 이동 물체의 일시적인 잔상은 상기 보정 단계에서 상기 보정값의 공간적인 계조에 의해 보상되는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,영상의 픽셀에 대한 모션 벡터를 검출 및/또는 예측하고, 상기 모션 벡터의 방향에서 현재 픽셀의 앞 및/또는 뒤의 미리 정해진 갯수의 픽셀을 보정하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 모션 벡터의 길이는 상기 현재 픽셀의 앞 및/또는 뒤의 어떤 픽셀을 보정할 것인지를 결정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 발광 소자의 반응 시간차를 보상하기 위하여, 디스플레이되고 있는 물체의 에지에 대하여 상기 에지에 근접한 발광 소자에 대한 비디오 데이터에 지수적으로 감소하는 부분이 추가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 현재 픽셀 뒤의 픽셀에 대한 보정값 Corr(x)은 하기의 수식:Corr(x)=([Bn-Bn+1]/255)*a*Bn*exp(-b*x*v) - 여기서, x는 잔상에서의 픽셀 위치, v는 모션 벡터의 길이, Bn은 현재 픽셀의 위치에서 반응 시간이 가장 느린 부류에 속하지 않는 컬러 성분의 비디오값, Bn+1은 인접 픽셀의 위치에서 반응 시간이 가장 느린 부류에 속하지 않는 컬러 성분의 비디오값이며, a 및 b는 조정 상수임 - 에 기초하여 산출되는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 방법.
- 반응 시간이 상이한 적어도 2 종류의 발광 소자(R,G,B)를 구비한 디스플레이 디바이스(17)에 표시할 영상을 처리하는 장치 - 한 부류(G)는 반응 시간이 가장 느린 종류의 발광 소자임 - 에 있어서,상기 가장 느린 부류에 속하지 않는 발광 소자(B,R)를 구동하기 위한 비디오 데이터를 보정하여, 상기 발광 소자의 반응 시간차가 인위적으로 보상되도록 하는 보상부(12)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 보상부(12)는 상기 잔상의 픽셀에 공간적으로 계조된 보정값을 부가함으로써 이동 물체의 일시적인 잔상을 보상하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 장치.
- 제7항 또는 제8항에 있어서,상기 영상의 픽셀에 대한 모션 벡터 데이터를 제공하는 모션 예측기(11)를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 장치.
- 제7항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 보상부(12)는 상기 발광 소자의 반응 시간차를 보상하기 위하여, 디스플레이되고 있는 물체의 에지에 대하여 현재 픽셀의 상기 예측된 모션 벡터 방향의 상기 에지에 근접한 픽셀에 보정값의 지수적으로 감소하는 부분을 추가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,주어진 모션 벡터에 대해 상기 지수적으로 감소하는 부분은 참조 테이블 내에 저장되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 장치.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 참조 테이블로부터 판독된 상기 지수적으로 감소하는 부분은 스케일 팩터 [Bn-Bn+1]/255 - 여기서, Bn은 현재 픽셀의 위치에서 반응 시간이 가장 느린 부류에 속하지 않는 컬러 성분의 비디오값, Bn+1은 인접 픽셀의 위치에서 반응 시간이 가장 느린 부류에 속하지 않는 컬러 성분의 비디오값임 - 에 의해 조정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 처리 장치.
- 제7항 내지 제12항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 영상 처리 장치를 구비하는 디스플레이 디바이스.
