Claims (3)
- 복수 개의 게이트 라인에 순차적으로 게이트 신호를 인가하여 상기 게이트 라인에 연결된 모든 박막트랜지스터를 차례로 턴온시키고, 상기 턴온된 박막트랜지스터의 소오스와 드레인에 데이터 신호를 전달하여 화소를 구동시키는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법에 있어서,프레임(frame)별로 실제 데이터 구간과 블랙 데이터 구간을 지정하여, 상기 실제 데이터 구간에 제1 게이트 신호를 인가하고, 상기 블랙 데이터 구간에 제2 게이트 신호를 인가하여, 그에 해당하는 데이터 신호를 인가함으로써 상기 화소를 구동시키되, 상부 및 하부 발광수단으로 구성되어 상기 화소를 발광시키는 백라이트부를 구비하여, 상기 제2 게이트 신호에 의한 신호 구간이 화면의 상부쪽에 존재하면 상기 하부 발광수단만 턴 온시키고, 상기 신호 구간이 화면의 하부쪽에 존재하면 상기 상부 발광수단만 턴 온 시키며, 상기 제1 게이트 신호에 의한 신호 구간에 비해 상기 제2 게이트 신호에 의한 신호 구간의 비가 큰 경우에는 상기 제2 게이트 신호에 의한 신호 구간이 적게 존재하는 부분의 발광수단만 턴 온 시켜 디스플레이 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 백라이트부는 도광판 타입(type)의 백라이트부인 것을 특징으로 하는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 데이터 신호는 상기 실제 데이터 구간에서는 실제화상데이터신호이고, 상기 블랙 데이터 구간에서는 리셋(reset)데이터신호인 것을 특징으로 하는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
