Abstract
Description
Claims (9)
- 서로 대향하는 상부 기판과 하부 기판 사이에 액정이 유지되며, 해당 액정의 상하에 상부 편광층과 하부 반사 편광층을 구비하되,상기 하부 반사 편광층은, 단면이 쐐기 형상을 이루는 2개의 경사면부가 주기적으로 연속 형성된 프리즘 형상의 유전체 간섭막을 적층하여 형성되어 있고,상기 각 경사면부와 상기 하부 기판이 이루는 각도는 각각의 경사면부에서 서로 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 하부 반사 편광층이, 투과축과 해당 투과축에 직교하는 반사축을 가지며, 입사하는 광의 상기 반사축에 평행한 성분의 일부를 반사하고, 일부를 투과하는 반투과 반사형의 반사 편광층으로 이루어지며,상기 하부 반사 편광층의 하측에 하부 편광층이 마련된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 하부 반사 편광층이 상기 하부 기판의 내면측에 부분적으로 마련되고,상기 하부 반사 편광층의 하측에 하부 편광층이 마련된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 2개의 경사면부중, 한쪽의 경사면부와 상기 하부 기판이 이루는 각도가 20°이상 50°이하로 되며, 다른 쪽의 경사면부와 상기 하부 기판이 이루는 각도가 50°이상 80°이하로 된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 하부 반사 편광층의 투과축과 상기 하부 편광층의 투과축이 거의 직교하여 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 하부 반사 편광층의 투과축과 하부 편광층의 투과축이 이루는 각도가 60°이상 120°이하로 된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 하부 반사 편광층보다 상측에, 해당 하부 반사 편광층에 의해 반사된 광을 산란시키기 위한 산란층이 마련된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 상부 기판 또는 하부 기판의 내면측에 컬러 필터를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 청구항 1 항에 기재된 액정 표시 장치를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 전자기기.
