Abstract

PURPOSE: Reinforcing structure for a rear body of a vehicle is provided to minimize deformation of the vehicle body and a fuel tank by improving the rigidity of the rear vehicle body at a rear-end collision. CONSTITUTION: A rear bumper stay(1) is installed in a rear side member(2), and a cross member(3) is installed in the rear side member with crossing. A first reinforcing member(4) is mounted in the connecting portion of the rear side member and the cross member. A second reinforcing member(5) is installed between the rear side member and the rear bumper stay. First and second reinforcing members are installed to reinforce the rear side member connected to the rear bumper stay and the cross member. Deformation of the vehicle body and the rear floor is minimized against impact at a rear end collision.
