Description
Claims (5)
- 액정층을 끼우는 한쌍의 기판의 한쪽에 제 1 방향으로 연장하는 복수의 커먼전극을 배설하고, 또한 상기 한쌍의 기판의 타방향으로 상기 제 1 방향으로 교차하는 제 2 방향으로 연장하는 복수의 세그먼트전극을 배설하여 이루어지는 액정판넬과,상기 복수의 커먼전극의 각각에 주사신호를 인가하는 커먼전압출력부를 갖추는 커먼드라이버와,상기 복수의 세그먼트전극의 각각에 표시데이터에 대응 하는 데이터신호를 인가하는 세그먼트전압 출력부를 갖추는 세그먼트 드라이버를 구비하는상기 커먼드라이버는,(a) 상기 복수의 세그먼트전극에 상기 데이터신호가 인가되는 기간에서, 상기 복수의 커먼전극의 각각으로 순차선택기간을 할당하고 또한, 상기 주사신호로서 비선택전압이 인가되어 있는 상기 복수의 커먼전극의 하나로 선택전압을 인가하고,(b) 상기 복수의 커먼전극의 M번째의 선택기간(M은 2이상의 자연수)이 할당되는 nM번째의 커먼전극으로의 상기 주사신호의 인가를,(i) M번째의 선택기간이 개시되는 제 1 시각에서 상기 비선택전압의 인가를 멈추고,(ii) 상기 제 1 시각 후인 제 2 시각에서 상기 선택전압의 인가를 개시하고,(iii) 상기 M번째의 선택기간이 종료하는 제 3 시각에서,상기 선택전압의 인가를 멈추고,(iv) 상기 제 3 시각후인 제 4 시각에서 상기 비선택전압의 인가를 개시하는 순서로 실행하고,(c) 상기 M번째의 선택기간의 선택전압과, 상기 M번째보다 전 (M-1)번째의 선택기간이 할당된 nM-1번째의 커먼전극에 인가된 선택전압과의 각각의 상기 비선택전압에 대한 극성을 비교하고,(d) 상기 M번째의 선택기간의 선택전압과, 상기 (M-1)번째의 선택기간의 선택전압이 동일한 극성의 경우,상기 제 1 시각과 상기 제 2 시각과의 사이에 있어서 상기 커먼전압출력부의 상기 nM번째의 커먼전극에 대응하는 것과 상기 nM-1번째의 커먼전극에 대응하는 것을 단락시키고,(e) 상기 M번째의 선택기간의 선택전압과 상기(M-1)번째의 선택기간의 선택전압이 역의 극성의 경우,상기 제 1 시각과 상기 제 2 시각과의 사이에 있어서, 상기 커먼전압출력부의 상기 nM번째의 커먼전극에 대응하는 것과 상기 nM-1번째의 커먼전극에 대응하는 것을 단락시키지 않는 기능을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 청구항 1 에 있어서,상기 nM번째의 커먼전극에 대응하는 커먼전압출력부와, 상기 nM-1번째의 커먼전극에 대응하는 커먼전압출력부는,상기 제 1 시각후에서 또는 상기 제 2 시각전의 시각으로 단락되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 청구항 1 에 있어서,상기 nM번째의 커먼전극에 대응하는 커먼전압출력부와, 상기 nM-1번째의 커먼전극에 대응하는 커먼전압출력부를 단락하는 기간은,상기 제 3 시각후에서 또는 상기 제 4 시각전의 시각으로 종료되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 청구항 1 에 있어서,상기 액정판넬에 있어서,상기 nM번째의 커먼전극과 상기 nM-1번째의 커먼전극은 인접하도록 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 청구항 1 에 있어서,상기 액정판넬에 있어서,상기 nM번째의 커먼전극과 상기 nM-1번째의 커먼전극은 격리하여 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
