Claims (25)
- GPS 수신기에 있어서,외부에 전송된 GPS 신호를 수신하는 GPS 신호 안테나와,상기 안테나에 접속되어 상기 수신된 GPS 신호를 샘플링하는 아날로그 대 디지털 컨버터와,상기 GPS 신호 샘플을 저장하기 위한 메모리와,상기 메모리 내에 저장된 GPS 신호 샘플로부터 의사 거리 정보를 검출하는 디지털 GPS 신호 프로세서를 포함하되,상기 수신기는 상기 수신된 GPS 신호가 샘플링되며 상기 메모리 내에 저장되지만 상기 신호 프로세서는 의사 거리 정보를 검출하기 위해 동작하지 않는 휴면 동작 모드와, 상기 신호 프로세서는 의사 거리 정보를 검출하기 위해 동작하는 활성 동작 모드를 갖고,상기 수신기는 수신기가 휴면 모드로 동작하고 있을 때 만들어지는 외부로부터 수신기에 수신된 명령에 응답하여 상기 휴면 모드를 상기 활성 모드로 변경하도록 구성되는GPS 수신기.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 휴면 모드에서, 상기 수신된 신호는 연속적으로 샘플링되며 상기 메모리 내에 저장되는GPS 수신기.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 휴면 모드에서, 상기 수신된 신호는 주기적으로 샘플링되며 상기 메모리 내에 저장되는GPS 수신기.
- 제 2 항 또는 3 항에 있어서,상기 휴면 모드에서, 상기 메모리는 시간 상 서로 분리된 적어도 두 개의 분리된 GPS 신호 샘플 세트를 포함하는GPS 수신기.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 GPS 수신기의 파워 업에 응답하여 상기 휴면 모드로의 동작을 시작하는GPS 수신기.
- 제 1 항 내지 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,유저 인터페이스를 더 포함하며,상기 유저 인터페이스를 통해 유저로부터 수신된 명령에 응답하여 상기 휴면 모드로의 동작을 시작하는GPS 수신기.
- 제 1 항 내지 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,유저 인터페이스를 더 포함하며,상기 유저 인터페이스를 통해 유저로부터 수신된 명령에 응답하여 상기 휴면 모드에서 상기 활성 모드로 동작을 변경하는GPS 수신기.
- 본 명세서에서 실질적으로 도 3 및 도 4를 참조하여 전술된 GPS 수신기.
- 전송기, 기지국과 두 경로를 통신을 하게 되어 있는 수신기, 제 1 항 내지 8 항 중 임의의 한 항에 따른 GPS 수신기를 포함하는 이동 장치(a mobile unit).
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 이동 장치에 의해 기지국으로부터 수신된 명령에 응답하여 휴면 모드에서 할동 모드로 동작을 변경하는이동 장치.
- 제 9 항 또는 10 항에 있어서,상기 이동 장치에서 상기 기지국으로 위치 정보를 전송하는이동 장치.
- 제 9 항 내지 11 항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,두 경로 무선 통신을 하도록 되어 있으며 하나 또는 그 이상의 영역을 구성하는 대응하는 다수의 중첩하는 서비스 지역을 규정하기 위해 각각의 지형학적 위치에서 위치하는 다수의 기지국의 형태로 된 셀룰러 무선 전송 시스템과 함께 사용되는 이동 셀룰러 전화의 형태로 된이동 장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 이동 전화가 비상 호출이 수행되고 있음을 인식함에 응답하여 휴면 모드로 동작을 시작하는이동 장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 휴면 모드로 동작하고 있을 때, 상기 이동 전화가 비상 호출이 수행되고 있음을 인식함에 응답하여 상기 휴면 모드에서 상기 활성 모드로 동작을 변경하는이동 장치.
- 제 13 항 또는 14 항에 있어서,상기 이동 전화가 비상 호출이 수행되고 있음을 인식하는 것은 유저가 비상 호출 전화 번호의 하나 또는 그 이상의 디지털을 입력할 때에 발생하는이동 장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 셀룰러 무선 통신 시스템의 기지국으로부터 수신된 신호의 강도에서의 변화에 응답하여 상기 휴면 모드로 동작을 시작하는이동 장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 이동 전화의 검파된 운동에 응답하여 상기 휴면 모드로의 동작을 시작하는이동 장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,뒤로 끌 수 있는(retractable) 커버를 더 포함하며,상기 커버의 뒤로 끌음에 응답하여 상기 휴면 모드로의 동작을 시작하는이동 장치.
- 본 명세서에서 실질적으로 도 4를 참조하여 전술된 이동 장치.
- 외부에 전송된 GPS 신호를 수신하는 GPS 신호 안테나와, 상기 안테나에 접속되어 상기 수신된 GPS 신호를 샘플링하는 아날로그 대 디지털 컨버터와, 상기 GPS 신호 샘플을 저장하기 위한 메모리와, 상기 메모리 내에 저장된 GPS 신호 샘플로부터 의사 거리 정보를 검출하는 디지털 GPS 신호 프로세서를 포함하는 GPS 수신기의 동작 방법에 있어서,휴면 동작 모드 시에는, 의사 거리 정보를 검출하는 상기 신호 프로세서가 동작하지 않는 동안, 수신된 GPS 신호를 샘플링하며 저장하는 단계를 포함하며,외부에서 상기 GPS 수신기로 수신된 명령에 응답하여, 상기 휴면 동작 모드를 의사 거리 정보를 검출하는 신호 프로세서가 동작하는 활성 동작 모드로 동작을 변경하는 단계를 포함하는GPS 수신기의 동작 방법.
- 제 20 항에 있어서,상기 휴면 동작 모드 시, 상기 수신된 GPS 신호는 연속적으로 샘플링되며 상기 메모리에 저장되는GPS 수신기의 동작 방법.
- 제 21 항에 있어서,상기 휴면 동작 모드 시, 상기 수신된 GPS 신호는 주기적으로 샘플링되며 상기 메모리에 저장되는GPS 수신기의 동작 방법.
- 제 22 항에 있어서,상기 휴면 동작 모드시, 상기 메모리 저장은 시간 상 서로 분리된 적어도 두 개의 분리된 GPS 신호 샘플 세트를 포함하는GPS 수신기의 동작 방법.
- 제 20 항 내지 23 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 GPS 수신기는 유저 인터페이스를 더 포함하며,상기 휴면 동작 모드에서 활성 동작 모드로의 변경은 상기 유저 인터페이스를 통해 유저로부터 수신된 명령에 응답하여 이루워지는GPS 수신기의 동작 방법.
