In recent years, what is required for the pressure-sensitive adhesive film used to bond the layers of the optical member is to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive film having a thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of 20 µm or less in order to reduce the thickness of the optical member.

In general, since the adhesive force of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is roughly proportional to the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, when the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is reduced, the adhesive force is lowered.

However, in recent years, even if the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is thin, the pressure-sensitive adhesive film has the same adhesive strength as that of a conventional pressure-sensitive adhesive film (the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is about 30 µm), and is also durable after being left in a high temperature and high humidity atmosphere for a long time. Also, it is required to have a performance equal to or higher than that of a conventional adhesive film.

In addition, since the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can be made thin, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer which does not need to undergo aging treatment (curing at constant temperature) can be formed, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is made of only the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. It has been desired to form a non-carrier film (NCF) having a member structure of "release film / adhesive layer / release film".

In addition, in the conventional adhesive film, the adhesiveness between the adherend and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was improved by performing an aging treatment after bonding the adhesive film to the adherend.

However, the adhesive film in the form of NCF lacks the adhesive force between the adherend and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in that the aging of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has already been completed before the pressure-sensitive adhesive film is pasted onto the adherend. For this reason, there is a problem that it is necessary to perform surface treatment such as corona treatment on the surface of the adherend.

There is a need for an adhesive film that overcomes these requirements and problems.

In addition, in general, the adhesive strength of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is approximately proportional to the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, but it is preferable that the adhesive strength when the thickness is 5 μm is 4.0 (N / 25 mm) or more. In addition, when the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is not 5 μm, the “stickiness when the thickness is 5 μm” (N / 25 mm) is the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer T (µm), the pressure-sensitive adhesive force of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is F (N / 25) Mm), it can be estimated by the formula "(adhesion force when the thickness is 5 µm) 〓5F / T".

When the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer according to the present invention is used for interlayer bonding of an optical member or the like, in order to reduce reflection of light rays at the interface between the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and the optical member, it is preferable that the refractive index difference is as small as possible. For this reason, it is preferable that the refractive index of the said adhesive layer is 1.47-1.50.

The adhesive film of this invention can be manufactured by forming the adhesive layer of this invention on one surface of a base material or a release film.

A mold release process is performed to a release film with a silicone type, a fluorine-type release agent, etc. to the surface of the side matched with the adhesive face of an adhesive layer.

It can also be set as the structure of a "release film / adhesive layer / release film" by aligning the surface on which the mold release process of the release film was performed to both surfaces of one adhesive layer, respectively. In this case, the release films on both sides are sequentially or simultaneously peeled to expose the adhesive surface, whereby it is possible to bond with optical members such as optical films. Examples of the optical film include a polarizing film, a retardation film, an antireflection film, an anti-glare (anti-glare) film, an ultraviolet absorbing film, an infrared absorbing film, an optical compensation film, and a brightness enhancing film.

The adhesive film of the present invention includes various optical films for peripheral members of a liquid crystal display device mainly comprising a polarizing plate, various optical films for a touch panel, various optical films for electronic paper, various optical films for organic electroluminescence, and the like. It can be used for bonding.

Moreover, it can be set as the optical film in which the adhesive layer which the said adhesive layer is laminated | stacked on at least one surface of these optical films is formed. Specifically, "optical film / adhesive layer / optical film", "optical film / adhesive layer / release film", "optical film / adhesive layer", "optical film / adhesive layer / optical film / adhesive layer / optical film" , "Optical film / adhesive layer / optical film / adhesive layer / release film", "release film / adhesive layer / optical film / adhesive layer / release film" and the like.

For example, in the case of having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer protected by a release film, such as "optical film / adhesive layer / release film", the release film is peeled to expose the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer like "optical film / adhesive layer" and other optical films. By bonding, a configuration such as "optical film / adhesive layer / optical film" in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was used for bonding between layers is obtained.

The release film (silicone resin coated PET film) was peeled from the pressure-sensitive adhesive films in Examples 1 to 6 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3 to expose the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was transferred to one side of the polarizing plate (film).

Measuring method of adhesive force>

An adhesive layer was transferred to one surface of a polarizing plate (film) having a thickness of 180 μm to obtain an adhesive film (an optical film on which an adhesive layer was formed) serving as a sample.

This pressure-sensitive adhesive film was adhered to a non-tin surface washed with acetone of soda-lime glass with a pressing roll. Thereafter, after autoclaving under conditions of 50 ° C and 0.5 MPa x 20 minutes, the mixture was returned under an atmosphere of 23 ° C x 50% RH, and the peel strength of the adhesive film after 1 hour was measured by a tensile tester. It measured according to JIS Z0237 "Adhesive Tape-Adhesive Sheet Test Method", and the peel strength at the time of peeling at a rate of 300 mm / min in the 180 ° direction was taken as the adhesive force of the adhesive layer of the adhesive film.

Table 3 shows the evaluation results.

Figure 112018065185334-pat00003
Figure 112018065185334-pat00003

In the pressure-sensitive adhesive films of Examples 1 to 6, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having a thickness of 5 μm was 4.0 N / 25 mm or more, the refractive index of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was in the range of 1.47 to 1.50, and adhesion and durability were excellent. That is, the adhesive films of Examples 1 to 6 were able to overcome the requirements and problems.

Table 4, the results of measuring the adhesive strength for the pressure-sensitive adhesive film of the adhesive layer having a thickness of 3㎛, 5㎛, 10㎛, 15㎛, 20㎛ prepared using the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of Examples 1 and 3 Shows. It can be seen that the adhesive strength of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer using the pressure-sensitive adhesive compositions of Examples 1 and 3 is generally proportional to the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.

Figure 112018065185334-pat00004
Figure 112018065185334-pat00004

The adhesive film of Comparative Example 1 was because the adhesive composition did not contain a nitrogen-containing monomer, or the adhesive strength of the adhesive layer having a thickness of 5 μm was weak. In addition, the refractive index of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was low, and adhesion and durability were also poor.

In the pressure-sensitive adhesive film of Comparative Example 2, the adhesive strength of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having a thickness of 5 μm was weak because the amount of the copolymerizable vinyl monomer containing a carboxyl group in the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition was too large. In addition, the refractive index of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was low, and adhesiveness and durability were also slightly off.

The adhesive film of Comparative Example 3 was because the adhesive composition did not contain a copolymerizable vinyl monomer containing a carboxyl group or a copolymerizable vinyl monomer containing a hydroxyl group, or the adhesive strength of the adhesive layer having a thickness of 5 μm was weak. In addition, the refractive index of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was low, and adhesion and durability were also poor.

As described above, in the pressure-sensitive adhesive films of Comparative Examples 1 to 3, conventional requirements and problems could not be overcome.
