Description
The present invention relates to a drive wheel bearing, and more particularly, to a drive wheel bearing which is coupled with an inner ring of a wheel bearing in an axial direction with a wheel hub and a face spline in a circumferential direction with a constant velocity joint.
Generally, a wheel bearing used in a vehicle plays a role of attaching the wheel to the vehicle body so that the wheel of the vehicle can rotate smoothly without causing friction loss as much as possible.
And the power transmission device of the vehicle that transfers the power generated by the engine of the vehicle to the wheels usually has a constant velocity joint.
The constant velocity joint functions to smoothly transmit the power of the engine to the wheel while absorbing the radial displacement, the axial displacement, or the moment displacement from the wheel when the vehicle is in motion or when the vehicle is turning.
Recently, in order to save resources and reduce pollution emission, improvement of fuel efficiency of a vehicle is required. In order to meet such a demand, a power transmitting device of a vehicle is required to be light weighted and a wheel A power transmission structure in which a constant velocity joint is directly connected to a bearing is proposed.
FIG. 1 shows an example of a driving wheel bearing that is coupled to a wheel bearing integrally with a constant velocity joint according to the above-described power transmission structure.
The
The wheel bearing 10 includes a
The
The
When the teeth of the
Therefore, the rotational power of the engine is transmitted to the wheel through the
However, in the conventional coupling structure of the wheel bearing and the constant velocity joint, there is necessarily a certain amount of clearance between the tooth profile and the tooth profile for spline coupling between the wheel hub and the constant velocity joint. Therefore, There is a disadvantage that the clearance is increased to generate noise when applied to the coupling portion between the wheel hub and the constant velocity joint.
The inner ring and the constant velocity joint are integrally rotated through the face spline, and the inner wheel and the wheel hub are integrally rotated by the axial spline. Thus, To provide a driving wheel bearing capable of smoothly transmitting the power of the wheel hub to the wheel and improving the coupling between the wheel hub and the inner ring.
