Claims (47)
- a) 공동을 내부에 형성하는 제1 전극(50)을 수용하는 용기(10)와,b) 상기 공동에 라이닝되어 상기 제1 전극(50)에 접하는 세퍼레이터(20)와,c) 상기 세퍼레이터가 라이닝된 공동 내에 배치되고, 기지의 체적을 가지면서 50ppm 미만의 수은을 갖는 제2 전극(60)으로서, 2.80g/cc보다 크고 3.65g/cc보다 작은 탭 밀도(tap density)를 갖는 아연 분말을 포함하며, 이 아연 분말은 제2 전극의 체적의 28.0 체적% 미만을 차지하고, 입자상 아연은 400㎠/g보다 큰 BET 비표면적, 적어도 14%의 KOH 흡수도, 및 130미크론 미만의 D50을 갖는 것인 제2 전극(60)과,d) 상기 용기(10) 내에 배치되어 상기 전극(50, 60)들 및 상기 세퍼레이터(20)와 접촉하는 소정량의 알칼리 전해질을 포함하는 전기 화학적 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 아연의 체적은 제2 전극 체적의 27.0 체적% 이하인 것인 전기 화학적 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2 전극(60)은 겔화제를 포함하며, 이 겔화제는 흡수된 소정량의 수성 알칼리 용액을 포함하며, 이 용액은 36 중량% 이하의 수산화칼륨을 포함하는 것인 전기 화학적 전지.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 제2 전극(60)은 4mΩ?cm 미만의 저항률 값을 갖는 것인 전기 화학적 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 탭 밀도는 2.90g/cc보다 크고 3.55g/cc보다 작은 것인 전기 화학적 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 BET 비표면적은 450㎠/g보다 큰 것인 전기 화학적 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 KOH 흡수도는 적어도 15%인 것인 전기 화학적 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 D50은 100미크론과 130미크론 사이인 것인 전기 화학적 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 입자상 아연은 75ppm과 125ppm 사이의 비스무트와, 175ppm과 225ppm 사이의 인듐과, 75ppm과 125ppm 사이의 알루미늄을 포함하는 아연 합금인 것인 전기 화학적 전지.
- 전기 화학적 전지를 제조하는 방법으로서a) 공동을 형성하는 제1 전극(50) 및 상기 공동에 라이닝되는 세퍼레이터(20)를 수용하는 한편, 개방단을 갖는 용기(10)를 마련하는 단계와,b) 기지의 체적을 갖는 겔화된 혼합물을 형성하도록 2.80g/cc와 3.65g/cc 사이의 탭 밀도를 갖는 아연 분말과 겔화제 및 알칼리 용액을 혼합하는 단계로서, 상기 혼합물 내의 아연 분말은 상기 혼합물의 체적의 28.0 체적% 미만을 차지하며, 상기 혼합물은 50ppm 미만의 수은을 포함하고, 입자상 아연은 400㎠/g보다 큰 BET 비표면적, 적어도 14%의 KOH 흡수도, 및 130미크론 미만의 D50을 갖는 것인 혼합 단계와,c) 상기 혼합물을 상기 세퍼레이터가 라이닝된 공동 내에 배치하는 단계와,d) 상기 용기의 개방단(12)을 밀봉하여 밀봉된 전기 화학적 전지를 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 전기 화학적 전지의 제조 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 알칼리 용액은 36 중량% 이하의 수산화칼륨을 포함하는 것인 전기 화학적 전지의 제조 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 아연은 상기 혼합물의 체적의 27.0 체적% 이하를 차지하는 것인 전기 화학적 전지의 제조 방법.
