Claims (7)
- 수직 정렬되도록 처리된 제1 기판 및 제2 기판;상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판 사이에 개재된 네가티브 타입의 유전상수 이방성을 가지는 액정;상기 제2 기판 상에 구비된 복수의 게이트 라인;상기 게이트 라인에 수직인 복수의 평행 데이터 라인으로서, 상기 게이트 라인과 데이터 라인은 각각이 2개의 인접한 게이트 라인과 2개의 인접한 데이터 라인에 의해 둘러싸여진 화소 영역으로 이루어진 매트릭트 형태의 화소 영역을 형성하도록 배열되는 복수의 평행 데이터 라인;상기 각각의 화소 영역 내에 형성되고, 상기 게이트 라인에 평행한 제1 에지들과 상기 데이터 라인에 평행한 제2 에지들을 갖는 화소 전극;상기 제2 기판 상에 제공된 상기 화소 전극 상의 제1 돌출부 배열로서, 상기 제1 돌출부들 중 두 개씩 짝을 이루어 실질적으로 V자 형태의 패턴으로 배열되는 제1 돌출부 배열;상기 제1 기판상에 형성된 제2 및 제 3 돌출부 배열로서, 각각의 제2 돌출부들이 V자 형태의 패턴으로 형성되며, 각각의 제2 및 제 3 돌출부들은 상기 화소 전극의 상기 제2 에지들과 대향하는 위치에 형성되는 분기들을 가지며, 상기 분기들과 상기 제1 돌출부 사이의 각도는 45도 이하의 각도를 유지하는, 제2 및 제 3 돌출부 배열; 및제1 및 제2 캐패시터 전극으로서, 각각의 상기 제1 캐패시터 전극과 대응되는 상기 제2 캐패시터 전극은 상기 화소 영역에서 각기 캐패시터를 형성하고, 상기 제2 캐패시터 전극들은 상기 제1 돌출부들과 정렬되는, 복수의 제1 및 제2 캐패시터 전극을 포함하며,상기 제1 돌출부들과 상기 제2 돌출부들은 서로 평행하게 교대로 배열되며,상기 각각의 제3 돌출부는 상기 V자 형태의 패턴의 제1 돌출부들의 절곡된 부분으로부터 상기 화소 전극의 상기 제2 에지들 쪽으로 연장되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화소 영역 각각에 형성되는 연결부로서, 상기 제2 커패시터 전극과 상기 화소 전극을 전기적으로 결합시킴으로써 상기 제2 커패시터 전극과 상기 화소 전극이 함께 상기 제1 커패시터 전극에 대해서 반대 전극의 기능을 하도록 하는, 연결부를 더 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2 기판상에서 상기 데이터 라인을 마주보는 위치에 형성된 복수의 제4 돌출부들을 더 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1 캐패시터 전극은 각각 K자 형태의 패턴으로 형성되고 두 개의 인접한 상기 화소 영역에 걸쳐서 배열되며,상기 제2 캐패시터 전극은 각각 V자 형태의 패턴으로 형성되고 상기 제1 돌출부 하부에 정렬되도록 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2 돌출부들과 상기 제3 돌출부들의 상기 분기들을 상호 연결하며 상기 데이터 라인에 걸쳐서 연장되는 복수의 제5 돌출부를 더 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 돌출부들은 두 개씩 상호 연결되어 V자 형태의 패턴으로 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 돌출부는 상기 데이터 라인중 어느 하나로 연장된 부분을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
