- 교락된 제 1 무기 섬유와 바인더를 함유하는 니들 매트와,초조 처리된 제 2 무기 섬유와 바인더를 함유하는 초조 매트가 적층된 유지 시일재로서,상기 니들 매트와 상기 초조 매트의 계면으로부터 상기 니들 매트측을 향하는 계면 영역에 있어서, 상기 제 2 무기 섬유의 평균 섬유 길이보다 짧은 평균 섬유 길이를 갖는 단섬유가 한정 존재되고,상기 계면 영역에 있어서의 바인더의 함유량이 중량비로 상기 니들 매트에 있어서의 바인더의 함유량보다 높은 것을 특징으로 하는 유지 시일재.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 단섬유는 상기 계면과 교차하는 방향으로 배향하여 한정 존재되어 있는 유지 시일재.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 니들 매트에 있어서의 바인더의 함유량이 중량비로 상기 초조 매트에 있어서의 바인더의 함유량보다 낮은 유지 시일재.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 계면 영역에 있어서의 바인더의 함유량이 중량비로 상기 니들 매트에 있어서의 바인더의 함유량의 1.3∼7.0 배인 유지 시일재.

- 제 1 무기 섬유를 함유하는 매트에 니들링 처리를 실시하여 무기 섬유가 교락된 니들 매트를 제조하는 공정과,상기 니들 매트에 바인더를 부착시키는 공정과,상기 바인더가 부착된 니들 매트 상에, 제 2 무기 섬유 및 바인더를 적어도 함유하는 초조용 슬러리를 투입한 후에 소정 시간 유지하는 공정과,상기 초조용 슬러리를 탈수하여 초조 매트 전구체를 제조하는 공정과,상기 니들 매트와 상기 초조 매트 전구체를 적층시킨 상태에서 건조시키는 공정을 포함하는 유지 시일재의 제조 방법.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 니들 매트에 부착시키는 바인더의 양은 상기 초조용 슬러리에 있어서의 바인더의 함유량보다 적은 유지 시일재의 제조 방법.
- 제 6 항 또는 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 소정 시간은 10∼60sec 인 유지 시일재의 제조 방법.
- 다수의 셀이 셀벽을 사이에 두고 길이 방향으로 배열 형성된 기둥 형상의 배기 가스 처리체와,상기 배기 가스 처리체를 수용하는 케이싱과,상기 배기 가스 처리체와 상기 케이싱 사이에 배치 형성되고, 상기 배기 가스 처리체를 유지하는 유지 시일재로 이루어지는 배기 가스 정화 장치로서,상기 유지 시일재는 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 기재된 유지 시일재인 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 가스 정화 장치.
