Description
Claims (11)
- 유기 발광 다이오드를 이용하여 양면으로 빛을 방출하는 다수의 화소를 포함하는 유기 패널과;상기 유기 패널의 제 1면에 형성되어 상기 제 1면으로 공급되는 빛의 투과 및 차단을 제어하는 제 1차단 패널과;상기 유기 패널의 제 2면에 형성되어 상기 제 2면으로 공급되는 빛의 투과 및 차단을 제어하는 제 2차단 패널과;상기 유기 패널에 형성되는 주사선들로 주사신호를 순차적으로 공급하기 위한 주사 구동부와;상기 유기 패널에 형성되는 데이터선들로 데이터신호를 공급하기 위한 데이터 구동부를 구비하며;상기 유기 패널에서 양면의 영상을 표시하는 경우 i(i는 홀수 또는 짝수)번째 프레임 기간 동안 제 1차단 패널이 상기 빛을 투과시키고, 상기 제 2차단 패널이 빛을 차단하며;i+1번째 프레임 기간 동안 제 1차단 패널이 상기 빛을 차단하고, 상기 제 2차단 패널이 상기 빛을 투과시키며;상기 데이터 구동부는 상기 제 1면 및 제 2면에서 서로 다른 영상이 표시되도록 상기 i번째 프레임 및 i+1번째 프레임 기간 동안 공급되는 상기 데이터신호를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 구동 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 1차단 패널 및 제 2차단 패널은 액정 패널인 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 구동 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 2항에 있어서,상기 제 1차단 패널 및 제 2차단 패널은 외부로부터 공급되는 그라운드 전원 및 그라운드 전원보다 높은 전압값을 가지는 구동 전원 중 어느 하나를 공급받아 빛의 투과상태 또는 블랙 상태로 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 구동 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 1차단 패널 및 제 2차단 패널은 이-잉크(E-ink) 및 전기 크로노매틱 레이어(electrochromatic layer) 중 어느 하나로 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 구동 유기전계발광 표시장치.

- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 유기 패널의 양면에서 영상을 표시하는 경우 상기 주사 구동부 및 데이터 구동부로 공급되는 구동 주파수는 60Hz 이상으로 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 구동 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 유기 발광 다이오드를 포함하는 화소들이 형성되는 유기 패널을 이용하여 양면으로 빛을 방출하는 단계와,상기 유기 패널의 제 1면에 형성되는 제 1차단 패널 및 상기 유기 패널의 제 2면에 형성되는 제 2차단 패널을 이용하여 프레임을 기준으로 제 1면 및 제 2면으로 교번적으로 빛이 방출되도록 제어하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 제 1면 및 제 2면에서는 서로 다른 영상이 표시되는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 구동 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.

- 제 9항에 있어서,상기 유기 패널을 구동하기 위하여 공급되는 구동 주파수는 60Hz 이상으로 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 구동 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
