Abstract

본 발명의 패키지는 절첩선(crease line)을 구비한 카드보드 블랭크(cardboard blank)로 만들어지고, 벽 패널(1)과, 패키지의 저면을 형성하는 저면 플랩(2)과, 패키지의 상단부를 형성하도록 함께 절첩되어 가열 밀봉되고 단측 플랩(3A) 및 장측 플랩(3B)을 구비하는 상단 플랩(3)을 포함한다. 장측 플랩 중 하나는 그 자유 단부에 밀봉 태브(4)가 제공되고, 밀봉 태브는 가열 밀봉 접착제가 제공되며, 대향 장측 플랩에 대해 밀봉된다. 이 밀봉 태브는 재봉합을 위해 패키지의 상단부 내로 하강할 수 있도록 패키지의 폭 보다 짧은 길이를 갖는다.

패키지{A package}
본 발명은 절첩선(crease line)을 구비한 카드보드 블랭크(cardboard blank)로 만들어지며, 벽 패널(wall panel)과, 패키지의 저면을 형성하는 저면 플랩과, 패키지의 폭 전체에 걸쳐 연속적으로 연장하는 2개의 장측 플랩(long-side flap) 및 2개의 단측 플랩(short-side panel)을 가지는 상단 플랩을 구비하는 패키지에 관한 것으로, 상단 플랩은 패키지의 상단부를 형성하도록 절첩되어 함께 가열 밀봉되며, 패키지는 박공 상단형(gable top type) 또는 평행육면체형(parallelepipedical type)일 수 있다.
시리얼(cereal), 밀(meal) 및 오트밀(gruel) 같은 건식 식료품(dry foodstuff)은 흔히 박공 상단형(gable top type) 또는 평행육면체형의 카드보드 박스(cardboard box) 패키지로 포장된다. 다양한 이유로, 재생지(waste fibres)의 카드보드를 만들고, 예를 들어 플라스틱의 내부 백(bag) 내에 식료품을 포장하는 것이 일반적이며, 이러한 것은 백이 개방될 때까지 식료품을 양호한 상태로 보존하고, 식료품이 재생지 카드보드와 접촉하는 것을 방지한다.
현재, 새 종이(virgin fibres)로 만들어진 코팅된 카드보드 재료가 출현하였으며, 이는 종래의 재료보다 가볍고, 본질적으로 건식 물질을 완전히 밀폐하며, 포장된 제품에 대해 어떠한 맛 또는 냄새도 주지 않는다. 이 방식에서, 패키지가 밀폐식으로 밀봉될 수 있으면, 건식 식료품은 어떠한 내부 백 없이 패키지 내에 직접 포장될 수 있다.
밀폐식으로 밀봉된 패키지의 문제점은 개방 및 사용후 재봉합이 곤란할 수 있다는 것이다.
이 문제점은 본 발명에 따라서 해결될 수 있으며, 본 발명에서, 장측 플랩 중 하나는 그 자유 단부에 밀봉 태브가 제공되며, 상기 밀봉 태브는 대향 벽 패널 또는 대향 장측 플랩에 대한 밀봉을 위해 가열 밀봉 접착제(heat seal adhesive)가 제공되고, 재봉합을 위해 패키지의 상단부 내로 하강할 수 있도록 패키지의 폭 보다 짧은 길이를 가진다.
이 밀봉 태브에 대한 용이한 접근을 제공하기 위하여, 본 발명에 따라서, 밀봉 태브의 자유 단부에 리프트 태브(lift tab)가 제공될 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 디자인은 장측 플랩 중 하나와 단측 플랩들 사이에 삽입되는 밀봉 태브를 봉합 수단으로서 사용하는 것을 가능하게 한다. 패키지의 최초 개봉 후에도, 습기 및 유해성 동물이 못 들어오게 할 수 있다.
첨부 도면을 참조로 본 발명을 보다 상세히 후술한다.
도 1 및 도 2는 반제품 형태(semi-finished form) 및 완제품 형태(finished form)를 각각 도시하는, 본 발명에 따른 패키지의 제 1 실시예의 사시도.
도 3 및 도 4는 제 2 실시예의 도 1 및 도 2와 유사한 도면.
본 발명에 따른 패키지는 전형적으로 바람직하게 새 종이(virgin fibre)로 제조된 코팅된 카드보드로 만들어지며, 이는 소정의 내부 백 등이 없이도 패키지 내에 식료품을 수납할 수 있게 하기 위한 필요조건이다. 상기 카드보드 재료는 상이한 층들, 예를 들어 EVOH의 장벽 층(barrier layer)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 코팅은 예를 들어 폴리에틸렌일 수 있다. 상기 카드보드 재료는 건식 물질을 위해 바람직하게 완전 밀폐식이다.
카드보드 블랭크(cardboard blank)는 먼저 절단되어 절첩되며, 종래의 방식으로 측면 가장자리를 따라 밀봉되어, 도 1에 도시된 바와 같은 양쪽 단부에서 개방된 반제품 패키지를 형성한다. 이러한 패키지는 벽 패널(1), 저면 플랩(2) 및 상단 플랩(3, 설명될 플랩(3A 및 3B))을 가지는 것이 명백하다.
저면 플랩(2)은 그런 다음 종래의 방식으로 절첩되고, 예를 들어 가열 밀봉되어 도 2의 하부에 예시된 바와 같은 밀폐식 저면(tight bottom)을 형성한다.
이제 패키지는 바람직하게 시리얼, 밀 또는 오트밀과 같은 건식 식료품이 채워질 준비가 된 상태이다.
그 후에, 패키지의 상부가 밀봉된다. 종래의 방식으로, 2개의 단측 플랩(3A)이 그 절첩선을 따라 절첩되고, 2개의 장측 플랩(3B)은 밀폐식 상단부를 형성하도록 서로 접촉되어 가열 밀봉된다.
도 1에서 뒤에 위치되는, 장측 플랩(3B) 중 하나는, 장측 플랩과 일체이지만 바람직하게 절첩선에 의해 분리되어 있는 밀봉 태브(4)와 리프트 태브(5)를 가진다. 가열 밀봉 접착제가 밀봉 태브(4)에 도포되고, 2개의 태브(4, 5)는 패키지의 상단부 전체에 걸쳐서 하향으로 절첩되며, 상기 밀봉 태브(4)는 가열에 의해 대향 장측 플랩(3B)에 밀봉되어서, 도 2에 도시된 바와 같은 소위 박공(gable) 상단형 패키지가 형성된다.
패키지를 최초 개방하기 위해서, 밀봉 태브(4)는 리프트 태브(5)에 의해 들어 올려지고, 그래서, 가열 밀봉 접착제에 의해 제공되는 밀봉부가 파괴되며, 장측 플랩(3B)은 패키지의 내용물을 쏟는데 필요한 범위로 떨어져 당겨질 수 있다.
이러한 디자인의 중요한 양태는 각각의 개봉 후에 대향 장측 플랩(3B)과 절첩된 단측 플랩(3A) 사이로 상기 태브(4, 5)를 하향으로 미는 것에 의해 패키지가 재봉합될 수 있다는 것이다.
도 3 및 도 4는 도 1 및 도 2의 박공 상단형 패키지 대신 평행육면체형 패키지를 도시한다. 또한, 이 패키지는 벽 패널(11), 저면 플랩(12), 및 상단 플랩(13)을 구비한다. 도 3에 도시된 스테이지(stage)로부터, 저면 플랩(12)은 종래의 방식으로 절첩되고, 예를 들어 도 4의 하부에 도시된 바와 같이, 밀폐식 저면을 형성하기 위해 가열 밀봉된다.
충전(filling) 후에, 패키지의 상단부는 밀봉된다. 종래의 방식으로, 2개의 단측 플랩(13A)은 그 절첩선을 따라서 절첩되고, 장측 플랩(13B)의 상부 부분(여기서는, 절첩선에 의해 플랩의 잔여부로부터 분리되어 있음)은 서로 접촉하게 되며, 밀폐식 상단부를 형성하도록 가열 밀봉된다.
후방의 장측 플랩(13B) 상에 형성된 밀봉 태브(14)는 가열 밀봉 접착제가 제공된다. 상단부가 하향하여 절첩되고, 밀봉 태브(14)는 가열에 의해 전방 벽 패널(11)의 상부 부분에 밀봉되며, 그래서, 도 4에 도시된 평행 육면체형 패키지가 형성된다.
이 패키지는 리프트 태브(15)를 들어올림으로써 개방될 수 있고, 개방 후에, 도 1 및 도 2를 참조하여 기술된 바와 같이 재봉합된다.

Claims (2)

  1. 절첩선(crease line)을 구비한 카드보드 블랭크로 만들어지고, 벽 패널(1; 11)과, 패키지의 저면을 형성하는 저면 플랩(2; 12)과, 2개의 단측 플랩(3A; 13A) 및 패키지의 폭에 걸쳐 연속적으로 연장하는 2개의 장측 플랩(3B; 13B)을 가지는 상단 플랩(3; 13)을 구비하며, 상기 상단 플랩들은 패키지의 상단부를 형성하도록 함께 절첩되어 가열 밀봉되는, 박공 상단형(gable top type) 또는 평행육면체형(parallelepipedical type) 패키지에 있어서,
    상기 장측 플랩(3B; 13B) 중 하나는 그 자유 단부에 밀봉 태브(4; 14)를 구비하고,
    상기 밀봉 태브는 대향 장측 플랩(3B) 또는 대향 벽 패널(11)에 대해 밀봉하기 위하여 가열 밀봉 접착제가 제공되고, 재봉합을 위해 패키지의 상단부 내로 하강할 수 있도록 상기 패키지의 폭 보다 짧은 길이를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 패키지.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 밀봉 태브(4; 14)는 그 자유 단부에 리프트 태브(5; 15)가 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 패키지.
