Claims (10)
- 다수의 데이터라인과 다수의 스캔라인들이 교차되며 그 교차부들에 전계발광셀들이 배치되는 표시패널과;데이터의 계조에 따라 예비충전전류를 상기 데이터라인에 공급하는 예비충전 구동부와;상기 예비충전전류가 공급된 후 전계발광셀들에 스캔펄스가 공급되기 전까지의 기간동안 상기 데이터 라인에 데이터 전류을 충전시키는 데이터 구동부를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터 구동부는상기 전계발광셀에 스캔펄스가 공급됨과 동시에 상기 전계발광셀에 전계발광을 위한 데이터 전류를 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 전계발광셀에 공급되는 데이터 전류에 동기되는 스캔펄스를 상기 스캔라인들에 공급하기 위한 스캔 구동부를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 예비충전전류 공급 후 전계발광셀들에 스캔펄스가 공급되기 전까지의 기간은상기 전계발광셀의 발광기간으로부터 확보되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 예비충전전류 공급 후 전계발광셀들에 스캔펄스가 공급되기 전까지의 기간은상기 전계발광셀들의 발광기간을 유지시키고 아울러 상기 스캔펄스의 시작점부터 다음 스캔펄스의 시작점 까지의 기간을 늘림으로써 확보되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터의 계조에 대응하여 상기 예비충전 전류의 전류양을 지시하는 예비충전 전류 데이터가 등재된 룩업 테이블과;상기 예비충전 전류 및 상기 데이터 전류 공급에 따라 예비충전 구동부를 제어하는 제어부를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 예비충전 구동부는,전류 값이 서로 다른 다수의 전류원과;상기 다수의 전류원 중 어느 하나를 상기 예비충전 전류로써 선택하는 선택부와;상기 예비충전 전류 및 데이터 전류를 선택적으로 상기 데이터 라인에 공급하기 위한 제1 및 제2 스위치소자를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치.
- 다수의 데이터라인과 다수의 스캔라인들이 교차되며 그 교차부들에 전계발광셀이 배치되는 유기 전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법에 있어서,데이터의 계조에 따라 예비충전 전류를 상기 데이터라인에 공급하는 단계와;상기 예비충전 전류를 공급한 후 전계발광셀들에 스캔펄스가 공급되기 전까지 기간동안 상기 데이터 라인에 데이터 전류를 충전시키는 단계와;상기 스캔펄스에 동기되어 상기 전계발광셀에 공급되는 데이터 전류 및 상기 충전된 전류를 이용하여 상기 전계발광셀들을 발광시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 예비충전전류 공급 후 전계발광셀들에 스캔펄스가 공급되기 전까지의 기간은상기 전계발광셀들의 발광기간으로부터 확보되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 예비충전전류 공급 후 전계발광셀들에 스캔펄스가 공급되기 전까지의 기간은상기 전계발광셀들의 발광기간은 유지시키고 상기 스캔펄스의 시작점부터 다음 스캔펄스의 시작점 까지의 기간을 늘림으로써 확보되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
