Abstract
Description
상기 스크린은 전면판과 이면판 사이에 위치된 액정물질층; 인접한 상기 액정물질층 상의 전압을 변경하도록 동작할 수 있는 감광물질층; 액정물질과 감광물질 사이의 반사층, 및 액정 물질을 가로질러 전압을 인가하기 위한 판들의 내부 표면들 상의 전극 구조들로서, 상기 전극들은 액정층의 개별적으로 주소지정가능한 부분들의 어레이를 집합적으로 형성하는, 상기 전극 구조들을 포함하며, 각각의 컬리메이팅된 광 빔은 전면판 전체를 조명하도록 배열된다.
비정질 실리콘 트랜지스터들 및 액정 디스플레이 내에서 통상적으로 발견되는 네마틱 액정은 많은 뷰들을 형성하는데 너무 느리게 스위칭되기 때문에 이러한 디스플레이에 의해 형성된 3차원 화상들은 조잡하게(crude) 될 것이다. 더구나, 액정 디스플레이들의 복잡성이 대형 장치들의 제작을 고가로 만들기 때문에 디스플레이는 소형이 될 것이다.
Claims (14)
- 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치에 있어서,패턴들의 연속적인 프레임들이 디스플레이될 수 있는 스크린(4), 및 상기 연속적인 프레임들의 디스플레이와 동기되어 일련의 이산 방향들을 통해 상기 전체 스크린(4)을 조명할 수 있는 컬리메이팅된 광 빔들의 어레이를 투사하기 위한 수단(6)을 포함하고;상기 스크린(4)은 전면판(8)과 이면판(9) 사이에 위치된 액정물질층(13); 인접한 상기 액정물질층(13) 상의 전압을 변경하도록 동작할 수 있는 감광물질층(15); 상기 액정물질(13)과 상기 감광물질 사이의 반사층(14), 및 상기 액정 물질(13)을 가로질러 전압을 인가하기 위한, 상기 판들(8, 9)의 내부 표면들 상의 전극 구조들(10,11)로서, 상기 전극들(10,11)은 상기 액정층(13)의 개별적으로 주소지정가능한 부분들의 어레이를 집합적으로 형성하는, 상기 전극 구조들을 포함하며, 각각의 컬리메이팅된 광 빔(6)은 상기 전면판(8)의 전체를 조명하도록 배열되는, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 스크린은 복수의 개별 영역들을 포함하며, 각각은 패턴의 완전한 프레임을 집합적으로 형성하기 위해 필드 시간에서 독립적으로 주소지정가능한, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 스크린은 필드 시간에서 서브-패턴을 수신하기 위해 각각이 배열된 복수의 개별적으로 주소지정가능한 부분들을 갖는 광학적으로 주소지정된 공간 광 변조기에 의해 형성되는, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 화상 스크린(4, 8, 13) 상에 패턴들을 투사하기 위한 수단(1)을 더 포함하는, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 투사하기 위한 수단(1)은 화상의 완전한 프레임을 형성하기 위해 상기 화상 스크린 또는 감광층(15)의 공간적인 개별 영역들(A 내지 P) 상에 차례로 복수의 필드 패턴들을 투사하기 위한 수단을 포함하는, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 투사하기 위한 수단은 상기 스크린(4)에 투사하기 위한 패턴 또는 패턴의 일부를 집합적으로 제공하는 개별적으로 주소지정가능한 화소들의 매트릭스를 갖는 디지털 마이크로 미러 장치를 포함하는, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 투사하기 위한 수단은 상기 스크린(4)에 화상 또는 화상의 일부를 투사하기 위한 음극선관 비디오 디스플레이를 포함하는, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 광학 장치를 더 포함하며, 컬리메이팅된 광 빔들의 어레이를 투사하기 위한 상기 수단(6)은 실질적으로 상기 광학 장치의 초점면에 배열되는, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 각각의 컬리메이팅된 광 빔들은 레이저 광인, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 컬리메이팅된 광 빔들은 상이한 파장들을 갖는 것인, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 투사 수단(1)과 스크린(4) 사이에 격자(3)를 더 포함하는, 3차원 비디오 디스플레이 장치.
