Abstract

PURPOSE: Provided are a ceramic clay brick and a floor brick including strong bonds obtained by baking, and having low water absorption, high surface strength and compression strength and excellent anti-fouling property and anti-slippage property. CONSTITUTION: The ceramic clay brick is obtained by sintering terra alba, kaolin and lava stone particles, wherein 0.2-5 parts by weight of the lava stone particles, based on 100 parts by weight of the terra alba and kaolin particles, are distributed on the surface of a clay brick consisting of the terra alba and kaolin in the ratio of 60-90:40-10. The ceramic clay brick is manufactured by the method comprising the steps of: mixing terra alba with kaolin and pulverizing the mixture; extruding the pulverized mixture, compressing lava stone particles to the surface of the extruded body and cutting into the shape of a brick; drying the brick; and baking the dried brick in a kiln and then cooling the brick.
