본 발명은 정수기의 온수탱크에서 발생된 기포로 인한 오버히트(overheat)를 방지하는 장치에 관한 것으로, 상기 장치는 다수의 구멍이 천공된 배플(baffle)을 상기 온수탱크 내부의 상부횡으로 구비하여 이루어지고, 이러한 온수 오버히트 방지장치는 배플 판 자체이거나, 다수의 구멍이 천공된 하부판을 갖는 원통형상 또는 상광하협 형상일 수 있다. 상기와 같은 배플의 구멍을 통하여 가열된 온수에서 발생된 일정 크기 이하의 기포만을 통과시킴으로서 온수가 온수탱크로부터 과열방지관을 통하여 저장탱크로 오버히트되는 것을 방지하고, 이에 따라 상기 오버히트가 될 경우 저장탱크 내 수온 증가 결과로 인한 미생물 증식 위험을 방지하여 국민건강 증진에 기여할 수 있다.The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing overheat due to air bubbles generated in a hot water tank of a water purifier, wherein the apparatus includes a baffle having a plurality of holes perforated in an upper side of the inside of the hot water tank.
