Abstract
Description
Claims (2)
- 액정층을 사이에 두고 대향하는 투명기판의 일측 투명기판의 내면측에 투명전극 및 배향막을 상기 일측 투명기판측에서부터 순서대로 형성함과 동시에 상기 일측 투명기판의 외면측에 투광성 산란층과 광흡수층이 적층되어 이루어진 반사형 편광필름을 구비하고, 타측 투명기판의 내면측에 투명전극 및 배향막을 상기 타측 투명기판측에서부터 순서대로 형성함과 동시에 상기 타측 투명기판의 외면측에 위상차판 및 편광판을 상기 타측 투명기판측에서부터 순서대로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 액정층이 그 두께방향으로 240 도 내지 260 도 사이의 각도로 비틀어진 나선구조를 가지며, 상기 위상차판의 굴절률 이방성 (△n1) 과 위상차판의 판두께 (d1) 의 곱 (△n1d1) 이 1000 ㎚ 내지 2000 ㎚ 사이의 값이고, 상기 액정의 굴절률 이방성 (△n) 과 액정의 층두께 (d) 의 곱 (△nd) 이 800 ㎚ 내지 1800 ㎚ 사이의 값이며, 상기 편광판의 흡수축이 상기 위상차판의 지연축에 대해 이루는 각도가 빛의 입사측에서 보아 반시계방향으로 -40 도 내지 -60 도 사이의 값이고 또한 상기 위상차판의 지연축이 상기 타측 투명기판측의 배향막의 배향방향에 대해 이루는 각도가 빛의 입사측에서 보아 반시계방향으로 -65 도 내지 -85 도 사이의 값이며 또한 상기 반사형 편광필름의 흡수측이 상기 일측 투명기판의 배향막의 배향방향에 대해 이루는 각도가 빛의 입사측에서 보아 반시계방향으로 +35 도내지 +55 도 사이의 값으로 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정표시장치
