Abstract
Description
Claims (19)
- 서로 마주 대하고 있는 제1 및 제2 기판,상기 제1 및 제2 기판 사이에 봉합되어 있는 액정 물질층,상기 제1 기판 위에 형성되는 게이트선, 데이터선 및 박막 트랜지스터,상기 제1 기판 위에 상기 박막 트랜지스터에 전기적으로 연결되는 제1 전극, 상기 제1 기판 위에 상기 제1 전극과 절연되어 형성되어 있으며 상기 제1 전극과 적어도 일부분 중첩되어 있고 상기 제1 전극 사이에서 연속적인 면으로 이루어지고, 이웃하는 화소 영역의 소정의 전극과 공통으로 연결되는 제2 전극,상기 제1 기판 및 제2 기판 위에 각각 형성되어 있으며 상기 액정 물질층의 액정 분자축을 일정한 방향으로 배향하는 제1 및 제2 배향막,상기 제1 기판 및 제2 기판의 바깥쪽에 각각 부착되어 있는 편광판을 포함하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서,상기 액정 물질층은 양 또는 음의 유전율 이방성을 가지는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제2항에서,상기 제1 및 제2 배향막은 상기 액정 물질층의 액정 분자축을 기판에 대해 수평으로 배향하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제3항에서,상기 제1 및 제2 배향막은 한 방향으로 버핑되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제4항에서,상기 액정 물질층의 액정 분자는 선경사각을 가지는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에서,상기 선경사각은 7。 이하인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제6항에서,상기 제1 및 제2 배향막은 같은 방향으로 버핑되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제7항에서,상기 제1 및 제2 배향막은 상기 제1 전극에 대해 0。 초과 45。 미만의 각을 이루도록 버핑되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제8항에서,상기 편광판의 투과축은 서로 수직으로 배치되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제6항에서,상기 제1 및 제2 배향막은 서로 다른 방향으로 버핑되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제10항에서,상기 제1 및 제2 배향막은 서로 0。 이상 90。 이하의 각을 이루도록 버핑되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제11항에서,상기 편광판의 투과축은 서로 수직으로 배치되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제12항에서,상기 편광판의 투과축은 인접하는 상기 제1 및 제2 배향막의 버핑 방향과 일치하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제2항에서,상기 액정 물질층은 네마틱 액정 또는 카이럴 첨가제가 혼합된 네마틱 액정으로 이루어진 액정 표시 장치.
- 제14항에서,상기 제1 및 제2 배향막은 상기 액정 물질층의 액정 분자축을 기판에 대해 수직으로 배향하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제15항에서,상기 제1 및 제2 배향막은 서로 다른 방향으로 버핑되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제16항에서,상기 제1 및 제2 배향막은 서로 0。 이상 90。 이하의 각을 이루도록 버핑되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제17항에서,상기 편광판의 투과축은 서로 수직으로 배치되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제18항에서,상기 편광판의 투과축은 인접하는 상기 제1 및 제2 배향막의 버핑 방향과 일치하는 액정 표시 장치.
