Claims (20)

を含む、カテーテルシステム。 A catheter system for treating a treatment site in or adjacent a blood vessel wall or heart valve, the catheter system comprising:
a light source that generates light energy;
a balloon positionable substantially adjacent the treatment site, the balloon having a balloon wall defining a balloon interior, the balloon interior receiving balloon fluid;
a light guide configured to receive the light energy at a proximal guide end and a guide positioned within the balloon from the guide proximal end; The light energy is configured to guide the light energy in a first direction toward the distal end , and the light energy traveling through the light guide in the first direction is configured to guide the light energy within the balloon interior. the light guide is configured to generate a plasma in the balloon fluid of the light source, and the light guide then directs a portion of the light energy to the light source in a second direction opposite the first direction. through the light guide and back to the guide proximal end of the light guide, the guide distal end of the light guide being in fluid communication with the balloon fluid in which the plasma is generated. and the portion of the light energy guided back through the light guide in the second direction includes light emitted from the plasma generated in the balloon fluid within the balloon interior. an optical analyzer assembly configured to optically analyze the portion of the light energy from the proximal end of the light guide that is moved back through the light guide in the second direction; Catheter systems, including:
