Abstract
Description
・ガラスチューブを粉砕して粉砕物を得た後、100℃で粉砕物を乾燥することにより水分を除去する。
・デシケータ内で粉砕物を空冷した後、粉砕物の質量W11を測定する。
・ヘキサン中に粉砕物を加えて分散液を得た後、分散液を50℃で1晩攪拌する。
・分散液をろ過して粉砕物を取り出した後、100℃で乾燥する。
・乾燥後の粉砕物の質量W12を測定する。
・W11−W12の質量差をパラフィン量として取得する。
・ガラスチューブを100℃で乾燥することにより水分を除去する。
・デシケータ内でガラスチューブを空冷した後、ガラスチューブの質量W21を測定する。
・るつぼ中、30分間以上500℃でガラスチューブを加熱する。
・デシケータ内でガラスチューブを空冷した後、ガラスチューブの質量W22を測定する。
・W21−W22の質量差を有機物量W23として取得する。
・有機物量W23からパラフィン量を差し引くことでフェノール樹脂量を得る。
パラフィンを含む集束剤を用いてアルカリガラス繊維を束ねたガラス繊維束を織り密度25目/25mmで編組した。編組後の管状の生スリーブでは、縦糸が24本であり、綾糸が48本であり、内径が9mmであった。次に、水と、フェノール樹脂(DIC株式会社製、商品名:フェノライトIG−1002)と、界面活性剤(第一工業製薬株式会社製、商品名:ネオコールSW−C、ジ(2−エチルヘキシル)スルホコハク酸ナトリウム(別名:ジオクチルスルホコハク酸ナトリウム))と、を混合して混合溶液を得た。続いて、混合溶液に生スリーブを含浸させた。その後、生スリーブを内部温度250℃の通過型加熱炉に120秒間かけて通過させ、水分を蒸発させると共に樹脂成分を硬化させることによりガラスチューブ(長さ:294mm)を得た。パラフィンの使用量は、ガラスチューブの全質量を基準として、1.0質量%(実施例1)、1.05質量%(実施例2)、1.1質量%(実施例3〜5)、1.15質量%(実施例6)及び1.2質量%(比較例1)であった。フェノール樹脂の使用量は、ガラスチューブの全質量を基準として、5.0質量%(実施例5)、4.3質量%(実施例1、2、4、6)、3.9質量%(実施例3)及び3.8質量%(比較例1)であった。界面活性剤の使用量は、ガラスチューブの全質量を基準として0.1質量%であった。
ガラスチューブの外観を目視で確認し、ガラスチューブにフェノール樹脂の付着のムラがない場合を「A」と評価し、ガラスチューブにフェノール樹脂の付着のムラがある場合を「B」と評価した。評価が「A」である場合を良好であると判定した。結果を表1に示す。
15本の上述のガラスチューブを並べた後、上部連座をガラスチューブに取り付けた。そして、鉛−アンチモン(4.0質量%)−ヒ素(0.2質量%)−スズ(0.015質量%)系合金製の芯金(直径2.7mmφ×長さ299mmの円柱状)をガラスチューブ内に挿入すると共に、一酸化鉛を主成分とする鉛粉をガラスチューブ内に充填した。そして、ガラスチューブの下端に下部連座を打ち込むことで封止することにより、15本のガラスチューブを有する未化成の正極板を得た。
(熟成条件)温度:40℃、湿度:98%RH、時間:40時間
(乾燥条件)温度:60℃、時間:24時間

- パラフィンを含有するガラスチューブを備え、
前記パラフィンの含有量が前記ガラスチューブの全質量を基準として0質量%を超え1.2質量%未満である、活物質保持部材。 - 前記パラフィンの含有量が前記ガラスチューブの全質量を基準として1.0質量%以上1.2質量%未満である、請求項1に記載の活物質保持部材。
- 前記ガラスチューブがフェノール樹脂を更に含有する、請求項1又は2に記載の活物質保持部材。
- 前記フェノール樹脂の含有量が前記ガラスチューブの全質量を基準として0質量%を超え4.5質量%以下である、請求項3に記載の活物質保持部材。
- 前記ガラスチューブが硫酸アンモニウムを含有しない、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の活物質保持部材。
- 前記ガラスチューブの平均細孔径が3μm以上である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の活物質保持部材。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の活物質保持部材の製造方法であって、
パラフィンを用いてガラス繊維を集束させることにより繊維束を得る工程を備える、活物質保持部材の製造方法。 - 前記繊維束にフェノール樹脂を含浸させる工程を更に備える、請求項7に記載の活物質保持部材の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の活物質保持部材と、当該活物質保持部材の前記ガラスチューブに保持された活物質と、を有する、電極。
- 正極及び負極を備え、
前記正極及び前記負極からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種が、請求項9に記載の電極である、鉛蓄電池。 - 前記正極及び前記負極の間に配置されたセパレータを更に備える、請求項10に記載の鉛蓄電池。
