Abstract
Description
本開示の被覆工具は、図1に示す例においては、主面が概略四角形状の板状である。ただし、この形状に限定されるものではない。被覆工具1は、第1面2(以下、主面2と記載する。)と、第2面3とを有し、第1面2と第2面3とが交わる部分の少なくとも一部に切刃4を有している。第1面2は、すくい面と呼ばれる面であり、第2面3は逃げ面と呼ばれる面である。そのため、すくい面2と逃げ面3とが交わる部分の少なくとも一部に切刃4を有しているともいえるものである。
次に、本開示の切削工具について図面を用いて説明する。

送り速度:0.3mm/rev

Claims (5)
- 基体と、該基体の上に位置する被覆層とを具備してなり、
前記被覆層は、前記基体の近くに位置する、厚みが1μm以上の第1層と、該第1層に接するとともに、前記第1層よりも基体から遠い位置に位置する、複数のAl2O3粒子を含む第2層とを有し、
平均粒径が1.1〜1.3μmの球形のAl2O3粒子3質量%を純水に分散させた液体Aを衝突させることによって得られるエロージョン率において、
前記第2層におけるエロージョン率A2と、前記第1層におけるエロージョン率A1との差(A2−A1)が、0.60〜−0.30μm/gである、被覆工具。 - 前記エロージョン率A1は、前記エロージョン率A2よりも小さい、請求項1に記載の被覆工具。
- 前記エロージョン率A2が1.0〜1.5μm/gであり、前記エロージョン率A1が0.7〜1.2μm/gである、請求項1または2に記載の被覆工具。
- 前記第1層は、複数のTiN粒子、複数のTiC粒子、複数のTiCN粒子のいずれかを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の被覆工具。
- 前記被覆層は、前記第2層に接するとともに、該第2層よりも前記基体から遠い位置に位置する第3層を有し、
前記第3層におけるエロージョン率A3と、前記第2層におけるエロージョン率A2との差(A3−A2)が0.0〜2.0μm/gである、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の被覆工具。
