Description
前記一次鍛造工程では、円盤形状の傘部を成形すると同時に、該円盤形状傘部の周縁にバルブの傘部フェースに対応する所定のテーパ部を成形するように構成した。

ダイスとパンチを備えた一次鍛造用金型によって、軸端部の球状膨出部に鍛造を施して円盤形状の傘部を成形する一次鍛造工程と、前記一次鍛造により成形された円盤形状傘部の余肉の厚さを切削により調整する余肉調整工程と、ダイスとパンチを備えた二次鍛造用金型によって、内燃機関のバルブシートに接触するバルブの傘部フェースに対応する前記円盤形状傘部の周縁部にその内周側から外周側に向けてスベリ変形が生じる鍛造を施して、バルブの傘部フェースを成形する二次鍛造工程とを備えた内燃機関用バルブの製造方法において、
前記一次鍛造用金型のダイスに形成された、前記円盤形状傘部を成形する成形面には、前記バルブの傘部フェースに対応するテーパ状成形面が周設されて、
前記一次鍛造工程では、前記円盤形状の傘部を成形すると同時に、該円盤形状傘部の周縁部にバルブの傘部フェースに対応する、後の二次鍛造を施すための所定のテーパ面を成形し、
前記余肉調整工程においては、前記一次鍛造により成形された円盤形状傘部の前面側だけを切削する構成とした。

Claims (1)
- 軸端部の球状膨出部に鍛造を施して円盤形状の傘部を成形する一次鍛造工程と、前記一次鍛造により成形された円盤形状傘部の余肉の厚さを切削により調整する余肉調整工程と、内燃機関のバルブシートに接触するバルブの傘部フェースに対応する前記円盤形状傘部の周縁部にその内周側から外周側に向けてスベリ変形が生じる鍛造を施して、バルブの傘部フェースを成形する二次鍛造工程とを備えた内燃機関用バルブの製造方法において、
前記一次鍛造工程では、円盤形状の傘部を成形すると同時に、該円盤形状傘部の周縁にバルブの傘部フェースに対応する所定のテーパ部を成形することを特徴とする内燃機関用バルブの製造方法。
