Description
前記ダイスの周方向に延在する前記押圧凸部の周方向等分複数箇所に該押圧凸部を横切る凹溝を設けるとともに、前記パンチの押圧動作に連係して、前記バルブ中間品と前記金型を所定角度相対回転させつつ鍛造を施すように構成した。

Claims (3)
- 内燃機関のバルブシートと接触するバルブの傘部フェースを成形する押圧凸部がその内側に周設されたダイスと、前記ダイスに挿入されたバルブ中間品の傘部前面側を押圧するパンチとを備えた金型によって、耐熱合金製のバルブ中間品の傘部フェース側にその内周側から外周側に向けてスベリ変形が生じる鍛造を施す内燃機関用バルブの製造方法において、
前記ダイスには、周方向に延在する前記押圧凸部の周方向等分複数箇所に該押圧凸部を横切る凹溝が設けられるとともに、前記パンチの押圧動作に連係して、前記バルブ中間品と前記金型を所定角度相対回転させつつ鍛造を施すことを特徴とする内燃機関用バルブの製造方法。 - 前記パンチが押圧動作後、前記ダイスの上方所定位置まで上昇したときに、前記バルブ中間品は、その軸端部がエジェクタピンによって突き押しされてその傘部が前記ダイスの押圧凸部からが離間した形態に保持されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関用バルブの製造方法。
- 前記バルブ中間品は、一次鍛造により軸端部に円盤形状の傘部が成形され、切削により前記円盤形状の傘部の余肉部が調整された後に、前記円盤形状の傘部に二次鍛造を施す前記金型に供給されるが、
前記一次鍛造工程では、前記円盤形状の傘部を成形すると同時に、該円盤形状傘部の周縁にバルブの傘部フェースに対応する所定のテーパ部を成形することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関用バルブの製造方法。
