またはN-エチル-N,N-ジメチル-N-(n-プロピル)アンモニウムトリフルオロメチルトリフルオロボレート(以下、N1123[CF3BF3])にMn+[BF3(CF3)-]nで表されるBF3(CF3)塩、必要に応じてさらにヨウ化物イオン(I−)および三ヨウ化物イオン(I3 −)を加えると、プラスチッククリスタルの性質を維持しつつ、室温での導電率が10-4 Scm-1程度まで向上することを見出した。

(式(II) 中、Mはアルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、アルミニウムまたはHを表す。nは、Mがアルカリ金属またはHのときは1を示し、Mがアルカリ土類金属のときは2を示し、Mがアルミニウムのときは3を示す。)
で表される少なくとも1種の[BF3(CF3)]塩を含むプラスティッククリスタル。
2. 前記[BF3(CF3)]塩が1〜10モル%配合されたことを特徴とする項1に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
3. 前記[BF3(CF3)]塩が2.5〜5モル%配合されたことを特徴とする項1に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
4. 下記式(I)または(IA)
N+(CH3)(CH2CH3)2(CH2CH2CH3)・X- (III)
N+(CH3) 2 (CH2CH3) (CH2CH2CH3)・X- (IIIA)
(式(III)および(IIIA)中、Xは水酸化物イオン、ハロゲン化合物イオンまたは擬ハロゲンイオンを示す)の化合物を含むプラスティッククリスタル。
5. 式(III)または(IIIA)の化合物が10〜50モル%配合される、項4に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。

9. 前記[BF3(C2F5)]塩が2.5〜5モル%配合されたことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
10. 下記式(IB)
N+(CH3) 3 (CH2OCH3)・X- (IIIB)
(式(IIIB)中、Xは水酸化物イオン、ハロゲン化合物イオンまたは擬ハロゲンイオンを示す)の化合物を含むプラスティッククリスタル。
11. 式(IIIB)の化合物が10〜50モル%配合される、項10に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
12. 項1〜11のいずれかに記載のプラスティッククリスタルを含む電気化学デバイス。
13. 項4、5、10または11に記載のプラスティッククリスタルを含む色素増感太陽電池用電解質。
アルカリ金属としては、Na、K、Li、Csが挙げられ、好ましくはNa、K、Li、より好ましくはNaまたはLi、特にLiが挙げられる。
実施例1
空気に敏感な材料の調製と測定に関するすべての操作はアルゴンで満たされたグローブボックス(Miwa MDB-1.5-1000T, H2O and O2 < 1 ppm)中で行われた。NMRスペクトルは、JEOL JNM AL400 spectrometer (1H at 399.65 MHz, 19F at 376.05 MHz, 11B at 128.15 MHz) 上で無水アセトン-d6 を溶媒として用いて記録された。ケミカルシフト(d)はTMS内部標準(1H)およびCCl3F外部標準に対し、アセトン-d6 (19F)とCDCl3 (11B)中のBF3.Et2O中で各々測定された。
N1123[CF3BF3]は、N1223に代えてN1123を使用して、上記と同様に製造した。
純粋なN1223[CF3BF3]またはN1123[CF3BF3]とLi[CF3BF3]を配合した本発明の材料、N111.1O1[C2F5BF3]を含む本発明の材料は、室温で軟質ポリマーを連想させる特異な可撓性を示した。
2.5 mol% のLi[CF3BF3]では85℃前後の融点を有し、5 mol%の Li[CF3BF3]では60℃前後の融点を有する(図2b、2c)。表1に示すように、Li-ドープされた材料は、非ドープ材料に比較して3.5 J mol-1K-1未満の極端に低いDSm値を有する。これは、高速イオン回転および/または配向速度が液体のような非常に速い性質を有することを示す。N1123[CF3BF3]、N111.1O1[C2F5BF3]についても同様な結果が得られた。
4. 結論
本発明の新規有機イオン性プラスティッククリスタルであるN,N-ジエチル-N-メチル-N-(n-プロピル)アンモニウムトリフルオロメチルトリフルオロボレート(N1223[CF3BF3])は、フィルム形成能、低融解エントロピーおよび-21から95℃までの広い周囲温度をカバーする最も高い温度相を有し、少量のLi[CF3BF3]がドープされたマトリクスとしてLi-イオン伝導性プラスティッククリスタル電解質を調製するために利用できる。周囲温度で、固体導電率は10-4〜10-3 Scm-1であり、Li-ドープ材料で最も高いプラスティック相が得られた。Li-ドープされたプラスティッククリスタル電解質に基づく固相Li析出/溶解が25℃で観察された。これらすべての結果は、イオン性プラスティッククリスタル電解質に基づく固相Li電池の可能性を示すだけでなく、種々の用途に改良された性質を有する新規イオン性プラスティッククリスタルを提供する。
実施例2
N1223[CF3BF3]のみ(□)、ヨウ化物イオン添加後(◇;N1223[CF3BF3]0.67I0.33)、さらにヨウ素添加後(■;N1223[CF3BF3]0.67 I0.23 I3 0.1)のヨウ素添加の結果を図5に示す。図5の結果から、ヨウ化物イオンをさらにドープしたプラスティッククリスタルは、色素増感太陽電池用の固体電解質として有用であることが示された。

- 前記[BF3(CF3)]塩が1〜10モル%配合されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
- 前記[BF3(CF3)]塩が2.5〜5モル%配合されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
- 式(III)または(IIIA)の化合物が10〜50モル%配合される、請求項4に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
- 前記[BF3(C2F5)]塩が1〜10モル%配合されたことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
- 前記[BF3(C2F5)]塩が2.5〜5モル%配合されたことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
- 式(IIIB)の化合物が10〜50モル%配合される、請求項10に記載のプラスティッククリスタル。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載のプラスティッククリスタルを含む電気化学デバイス。
- 請求項4、5、10または11に記載のプラスティッククリスタルを含む色素増感太陽電池用電解質。
