Abstract
Description
そこで、本発明は、このような従来技術が抱える課題を解決するためになされたものであり、その主たる目的は、プラズマディスプレイパネルの精細なコントラストの異なる二層構造のバス電極を形成するために用いられる光硬化性導電性ペースト、および光硬化性黒色ペーストを提供することにあり、該光硬化性黒色ペーストとして、優れた放電特性を確保するため、高温焼成でも黒層間抵抗値は安定で、乾燥、露光、現像、焼成の各工程において基板に対する優れた密着性、解像性、焼成性を損なうことなく、焼成後において充分な黒さを有する焼成皮膜を形成できる光硬化性黒色ペーストを提供する。
前記目的を達成するために、本発明の第一の態様としては、プラズマディスプレイパネルのコントラストの異なる二層構造のバス電極の上層形成に用いられる導電性ペースト(A)であって、前記導電性ペースト(A)が、下層に用いられる黒色ペースト(B)のガラス粉末(B1)より軟化点が40℃以上高いガラス粉末(A1)、導電性粉末(A2)、有機バインダー(A3)、光重合性モノマー(A4)、及び光重合開始剤(A5)を含有することを特徴とする光硬化性導電性ペーストが提供される。
本発明の光硬化性樹脂組成物は、コントラストの異なる二層構造バス電極の下層とブラックパターン層を同一の材料で形成しても二層構造バス電極の下層における安定した層間導電性を得ることができることから、PDPの量産性、低コスト化にとって極めて有用なものである。
(2)(メタ)アクリル酸などの不飽和カルボン酸と、メチル(メタ)アクリレートなどの不飽和二重結合を有する化合物の共重合体に、グリシジル(メタ)アクリレートや(メタ)アクリル酸クロライドなどにより、エチレン性不飽和基をペンダントとして付加させることによって得られるカルボキシル基含有感光性樹脂、
(3)グリシジル(メタ)アクリレートなどのエポキシ基と不飽和二重結合を有する化合物と、メチル(メタ)アクリレートなどの不飽和二重結合を有する化合物の共重合体に、(メタ)アクリル酸などの不飽和カルボン酸を反応させ、生成した2級の水酸基にテトラヒドロフタル酸無水物などの多塩基酸無水物を反応させて得られるカルボキシル基含有感光性樹脂、
(4)無水マレイン酸などの不飽和二重結合を有する酸無水物と、スチレンなどの不飽和二重結合を有する化合物の共重合体に、2−ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレートなどの水酸基と不飽和二重結合を有する化合物を反応させて得られるカルボキシル基含有感光性樹脂、
(5)多官能エポキシ化合物と(メタ)アクリル酸などの不飽和モノカルボン酸を反応させ、生成した2級の水酸基にテトラヒドロフタル酸無水物などの多塩基酸無水物を反応させて得られるカルボキシル基含有感光性樹脂、
(6)メチル(メタ)アクリレートなどの不飽和二重結合を有する化合物とグリシジル(メタ)アクリレートの共重合体のエポキシ基に、1分子中に1つのカルボキシル基を有し、エチレン性不飽和結合を持たない有機酸を反応させ、生成した2級の水酸基に多塩基酸無水物を反応させて得られるカルボキシル基含有樹脂、
(7)ポリビニルアルーコールなどの水酸基含有ポリマーに多塩基酸無水物を反応させて得られるカルボキシル基含有樹脂、及び
(8)ポリビニルアルーコールなどの水酸基含有ポリマーに、テトラヒドロフタル酸無水物などの多塩基酸無水物を反応させて得られるカルボキシル基含有樹脂に、グリシジル(メタ)アクリレートなどのエポキシ基と不飽和二重結合を有する化合物をさらに反応させて得られるカルボキシル基含有感光性樹脂などが挙げられ、特に(1)、(2)、(3)、(6)の樹脂が好適に用いられる。
合成例1
温度計、攪拌機、滴下ロート、及び還流冷却器を備えたフラスコに、メチルメタクリレートとメタクリル酸を0.76:0.24のモル比で仕込み、溶媒としてジエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテート、触媒としてアゾビスイソブチロニトリルを入れ、窒素雰囲気下、80℃で2〜6時間攪拌し、樹脂溶液を得た。この樹脂溶液を冷却し、重合禁止剤としてメチルハイドロキノン、触媒としてテトラブチルホスホニウムブロミドを用い、グリシジルメタクリレートを、95〜105℃で16時間の条件で、上記樹脂のカルボキシル基1モルに対し0.12モルの割合の付加モル比で付加反応させ、冷却後取り出し、有機バインダー(A3−1)を生成した。この樹脂(A3−1)は、重量平均分子量が約10,000、酸価が59mgKOH/g、二重結合当量が950であった。なお、得られた共重合樹脂の重量平均分子量の測定は、(株)島津製作所製ポンプLC−6ADと昭和電工(株)製カラムShodex(登録商標)KF−804、KF−803、KF−802を三本つないだ高速液体クロマトグラフィーにより測定した。さらにジエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートを加え、固形分濃度60%に調整した。
メチルメタクリレートとメタクリル酸の仕込み比をモル比で0.87:0.13とし、グリシジルメタクリレートを付加反応させないこと以外は、上記合成例1と同様にして有機バインダー(B3−1)を生成した。この有機バインダー(B3−1)は、重量平均分子量が約10,000、酸価が74mgKOH/gであった。さらにジエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートを加え、固形分濃度40%に調整した。

このようにして得られた下層(黒層)用光硬化性黒色ペーストと上層(白層)用光硬化性導電ペーストの組み合わせについて、焼成後の高温熱履歴による白層とITOとの層間抵抗値の変化を調べた。また、焼成時間による白層とITOとの層間抵抗値の変化も調べた。その評価方法は以下のとおりである。
ITO膜付のガラス基板上に、評価用ペーストを300メッシュのポリエステルスクリーンを用いて全面に塗布し、次いで、遠赤外線乾燥炉にて90℃で15間乾燥して皮膜を形成した。次に、この皮膜上に上層(白)用導電性ペーストを300メッシュのポリエステルスクリーンを用いて全面に塗布し、次いで、遠赤外線乾燥炉にて90℃で15分間乾燥して指触乾燥性の良好な二層の皮膜を形成した。その後、パターン寸法5mm×100mm、ラインが形成できるネガマスクをもちいて、組成物上の積算光量が300mJ/cm2となるように露光した後、液温30℃の0.4wt%Na2CO3水溶液を用いて20秒間現像を行い、水洗した。最後に空気雰囲気下にて14℃/分で昇温し、590℃で10分間焼成して基板を作製した(焼成条件1)。こうして得られたITO膜と銀電極に挟まれた黒層間の抵抗を測定する為に、ITO膜と銀電極にテスター(HIOKI 3540 mΩHITESTER)のプローブをあて抵抗値(R1)を測定した。
密着性は、焼成条件1及び2で作製した基板のバス電極形成部分についてセロハン粘着テープによるピーリングを行い、パターンの剥離がないかどうか○〜×で評価した。

- コントラストの異なる二層構造のバス電極の上層形成に用いられる導電性ペースト(A)であって、前記導電性ペースト(A)が、下層に用いられる黒色ペースト(B)のガラス粉末(B1)より軟化点が40℃以上高いガラス粉末(A1)、導電性粉末(A2)、有機バインダー(A3)、光重合性モノマー(A4)、及び光重合開始剤(A5)を含有することを特徴とする光硬化性導電性ペースト。
- 前記ガラス粉末(A1)の軟化点が、520〜600℃であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光硬化性導電性ペースト。
- 前記導電性粉末(A2)が、銀粉末(A2−1)であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の光硬化性導電性ペースト。
- コントラストの異なる二層構造のバス電極の下層形成に用いられる黒色ペースト(B)であって、前記黒色ペースト(B)が、上層に用いられる光硬化性導電性ペースト(A)のガラス粉末(A1)より軟化点が40℃以上低いガラス粉末(B1)、耐熱性黒顔料(B2)、有機バインダー(B3)、光重合性モノマー(B4)、及び光重合開始剤(B5)を含有することを特徴とする光硬化性黒色ペースト。
- 前記耐熱性黒顔料(B2)が、四三酸化コバルトであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の光硬化性黒色ペースト。
- 請求項4又は5に記載の光硬化性黒色ペーストに、さらに前記ガラス粉末(B1)及び前記耐熱性黒顔料(B2)以外の無機粉末(B6)を含有することを特徴とする光硬化性黒色ペースト。
- 前記無機粉末(B6)が、体積固有抵抗値が1×104Ω・cm以下の無機粉末であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の光硬化性黒色ペースト。
- 前記体積固有抵抗値が1×104Ω・cm以下の無機粉末A(B6)が、一般式La1−XSrXCoO3 、又はLa1−XSrXMnO3で表わされるランタン複合酸化物であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の光硬化性黒色ペースト。
- 基板上に白層と黒層からなる二層構造のバス電極とブラックパターンが形成された前面ガラス基板を具備するプラズマディスプレイパネルにおいて、前記白層が請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の光硬化性導電性ペースト(A)を用いて形成され、前記黒層とブラックパターンとが請求項4〜8のいずれか1項に記載の同一の光硬化性黒色ペースト(B)を用いて形成されたことを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイパネル。
- 白層と黒層の二層構造を有するバス電極であって、前記白層に含有されるガラス粉末(A1)と前記黒層に含有されるガラス粉末(B1)のガラス軟化点の差が40℃以上、且つ、ガラス粉末(A1)の軟化点が520〜600℃であり、前記黒層に耐熱性黒顔料(B2)が含有されることを特徴とするバス電極。
- 耐熱性黒顔料(B2)が四三酸化コバルトである請求項10に記載のバス電極。
