Abstract
Description
この方法では、デリバリー用のワイヤに接続された生体内留置部材をカテーテルに通し、X線造影装置による透視下で生体内の所望の位置に誘導した後、生体内留置部材を目的の場所にワイヤを操作して送達させ、生体内留置部材を離脱する。生体内留置部材を離脱する方法には機械式や電気式が存在するが、例えば電気式では外部から導電性ワイヤと生体に接続する対極との間に電流を供給し、接続部材を分解・溶断し、生体内留置部材を離脱する。特許文献1に示されるような熱溶解可能なポリビニールアルコールからなる熱可溶性部材を導電性ワイヤと生体内留置部材の接続部材として用いた血管閉塞用デバイスでは、導電性ワイヤ先端部を加熱用電極とし対極との間に供給した高周波電流による電極の加熱で瞬時に接続部材が熱溶解し生体内留置部材を離脱させるため、手術時間が短く患者や医師に対する負担が少ないことが特徴である。
具体的に説明すると、図1は従来の医療用ワイヤの一例における導電性プッシャーワイヤと生体内留置部材との接続部を拡大して示す断面図である。図1に示すように、この医療用ワイヤにおいては、導電性プッシャーワイヤ1aの先端部にコイル状の電極部1bが形成されており、この電極部1bのコイル内に、ポリビニールアルコールよりなるロッド状の熱可溶性接続部材1cの基端部が挿入されて接着剤1dにより固定されるとともに、熱可溶性接続部材1cの先端部は、生体内留置部材1eを形成するコイル内に挿入されて、同様に接着剤1dによって固定されている。1fは、導電性プッシャーワイヤの先端部と基端部以外の部分に設けられた、絶縁性表面を形成するフッ素樹脂のコーティングである。
然るに、このような構成においては、上記接着剤1dにより熱可溶性接続部材1cと導電性プッシャーワイヤ1aのコイル素線がフッ素樹脂のコーティング内部で固着され、コイル部の隣り合う素線どうしが強固に連結されるため、径方向へのせん断力が増し、結果として導電性プッシャーワイヤ1aの柔軟性が阻害される。

なお、本発明において、先端部材を構成するコイル素線が隣合うコイル素線と密接していないとは、隣り合うコイル素線どうしの表面が完全に密接していないことを示し、一部が密接していない状態も含まれる。また、本発明においてピッチとは隣り合うコイル素線の1巻きの間の距離を示しており、「異なる2つ以上のピッチを有する」とは1巻きの間の距離が一定ではなく、2つ以上の異なる距離でコイルが巻かれていることを示す。
これはデリバリー時にこの段差によりカテーテルの内孔や導入口において引っ掛かりを低減し、ワイヤの変形を防ぐためである。
Claims (10)
- 導電性の線材をコイル状に成形した基端および末端を有する先端部材と、この先端部材の基端部に接続された導電性プッシャーワイヤと、この先端部材の末端部に熱可溶性接続部材を介して接続された生体内留置部材からなり、前記接続部材が電流によって加熱されることで前記生体内留置部材を離脱させる医療用ワイヤにおいて、前記先端部材のコイル素線が隣り合うコイル素線と密接していない部分を含み、前記先端部材のコイル素線が少なくとも異なる2つ以上のピッチを有し、かつ前記医療用ワイヤが、前記先端部材のコイル巻き内部に位置し、基端および末端間に延在して両端を連結している安全ワイヤを備えることを特徴とする医療用ワイヤ。
- 前記安全ワイヤが丸線あるいは平線である請求項1に記載の医療用ワイヤ。
- 前記安全ワイヤの一端が前記先端部材の内周に少なくとも1箇所以上溶接、ろう付けあるいは接着されており、他端が前記先端部材の基端部と導電性プッシャーワイヤの両方もしくは片方に溶接、ろう付けあるいは接着される請求項1に記載の医療用ワイヤ。
- 前記先端部材および安全ワイヤが、生体適合性金属を含む、請求項1に記載の医療用ワイヤ。
- 前記先端部材および前記安全ワイヤが、白金、パラジウム、金、タングステン、タンタル、イリジウム、ステンレス合金、超弾性合金およびそれらの合金からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の金属を含む、請求項1に記載の医療用ワイヤ。
- 前記先端部材が、前記熱可溶性接続部材を電流により熱溶融させるための電極(第1セクション)、前記安全ワイヤの一端が先端部材を構成するコイル素線の内周に接続された部分(第2セクション)および前記熱可溶性接続部材の基端部が接着固定された部分(第3セクション)とから構成される請求項1〜5いずれか一項に記載の医療用ワイヤ。
- 先端部材の第1セクションを構成する隣り合ったコイル素線が互いに密接された請求項6記載の医療用ワイヤ。
- 先端部材の第1セクションを構成するコイル素線の内周に前記熱可溶性接続部材が密接された請求項7記載の医療用ワイヤ。
- 先端部材の第2セクションにおけるコイル素線のピッチが第3セクションのコイル素線のピッチよりも大きく設定されている請求項6〜8いずれか一項に記載の医療用ワイヤ。
- 先端部材の第3セクションにおけるコイル素線のピッチが、隣合うコイル素線が密接した場合のピッチを100%とした場合、110%以上である請求項6〜9いずれか一項に記載の医療用ワイヤ。
