Abstract
Description
光検出器56が配置され、位相差フィルム42の角度を検出して制御する。より詳しくは、偏光素子52の吸収軸は、巻き出し装置40、ニップロール44、フリーロール46、フリーロール48のロール軸と平行に設置されており、光検出器56で検出される光の強度が最小になるように、軸方向に可動である一対のニップロール58により位相差フィルム42a,42bの角度が制御されて巻き取り装置60に巻き取られる。これらのロールおよび装置はフレーム62に取り付けられ支持される。
小さくなるため装置の長大化が防止できる。

Claims (4)
- 偏光フィルムに対して少なくとも2種類以上の位相差フィルムを貼り合わせて積層する偏光板の製造方法であり、少なくとも前記偏光フィルムを含め貼り合わせる少なくとも2種類以上の位相差フィルムのうち、2枚のフィルムの延伸方向の角度差が40°〜80°の範囲内になるように貼り合わせることを特徴とする偏光板の製造方法。
- 少なくとも1枚の前記位相差フィルムの前記偏光フィルムに対する延伸方向の角度が15°±10°あるいは75°±10°であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の偏光板の製造方法。
- 偏光フィルムに対して少なくとも2枚以上の位相差フィルムを貼り合わせて積層する偏光板の製造装置であり、偏光フィルムを搬送する偏光フィルム搬送手段と、少なくとも2枚以上の位相差フィルムを搬送する位相差フィルム搬送手段と、少なくとも前記偏光フィルムを含め貼り合わせる少なくとも2種類以上の位相差フィルムのうち、2枚のフィルムの延伸方向の角度差が40°〜80°の範囲内になるように貼り合わせた形状の位相差フィルムとする貼り合わせ・打ち抜き手段とを備えることを特徴とする偏光板の製造装置。
- 少なくとも1枚の前記位相差フィルムの前記偏光フィルムに対する延伸方向の角度が15°±10°あるいは75°±10°であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の偏光板の製造装置。
