Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the generation of the damage and defects of taking out electrodes and to reduce the thickness and size over the entire part by forming a circuit board of a flexible member, bending the circuit board side and connecting the transparent substrate side taking out electrodes in a liquid crystal panel and the output electrodes of the circuit board.
CONSTITUTION: The circuit board 29 which has flexibility and is formed with the output electrodes 30 is provided and the circuit board 29 side is bent toward the taking out electrodes 27 formed at one end on the supporting frame body 33 side of the transparent substrate 22 so that the output electrodes 27 are connected by a heat sealed connector 31. The connection can, therefore, be executed by bending the circuit board 29 side without bending the upper panel substrate 22 side drawn out of the liquid crystal panel 21 side and the upper panel substrate 22 can be held plane over the entire surface from the display part up to the heat sealing part. The generation of the bending flaws, etc., in the transparent electrodes 25 or the taking out electrodes 27 is thereby obviated and the failure and defects of the electrodes are prevented.
